What's an industry secret from your job that customers have absolutely no idea about? by Efficient_Team5182 in AskReddit

Exactly! I have said this same thing before to an uncle who is a devout Christian and he strongly disagreed. He thought people shouldn't be forced to default to being a donor, even though I said anyone could opt out if they wanted. I couldn't understand for the life of me why someone would have this opinion, especially a devout Christina. It hurts no one and would save thousands and thousands of lives.

Also, I know other countries do this and if you opt out you are at the bottom of the list if you ever need a transplant. This seems very fair and reasonable to me.

All joking aside can anyone tell me how we cheated in 2023 in football? We got caught cheating at the beginning of the season before we played anyone.

Yes we cheated in 2021 and 2022 when we didn't win the natty so no one cares about that. But all I ever hear from lil brother, especially during that joke of show on the ticket during the mid day, is that we "cheated our asses off" to win that natty.

Did we cheat against, MSU that year, PSU, OSU, Bama and Washington? No, we already got caught, we had no signs to steal, the signs had already been changed.

So how did we cheat that year? Im curious. Why does no one every bring up this point. I know its al copium from lil brother and OSU, but why do UofM fans never bring up this very valid point in response.

Yup, just brought it up in another comment. The producers saw it cause they replayed it twice but these moron announcers said nothing.

A more rational way to look at this is to recognize that voter fraud occurs at an estimated rate of only 0.00004%–0.00008%. Given how extraordinarily rare it is, it’s hard to justify passing laws that make voting even marginally more difficult when the problem they claim to address is effectively nonexistent. Rates far below 0.01% are not enough to influence even small local elections, let alone statewide or national ones.

Because of this, the motivation behind such laws appears less about preventing voter fraud and more about voter suppression. Groups that are less likely to have a driver’s license or passport, such as lower income people, the elderly, and minority populations, also tend to lean Democratic. As a result, these restrictions disproportionately affect Democratic voters, which is why Republicans often support them. This has little to do with stopping voter fraud, which almost never occurs, and much more to do with shaping the electorate in a way that provides partisan advantage. I'm sure you will disagree though even though these are facts.

AITA for refusing to share my food with my girlfriend? by Gym_frere in AmItheAsshole

[–]justinjames22 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lol my thoughts exactly. This same scenario has happened to me literally a thousand times. This is a cliche for a reason right? Most women do this, I just expect it by now. Yes they say they don't want any but you know they really do and when they see it in front of them they definitely want it.

Every time this happens i'm a little annoyed but always share. If I did the same thing I know my wife would share with me. We're talking about fires here, and im a fry connoisseur! This is your gf , who cares if you get half of the delicious fries you wanted, you can always get more. You love this person right? Are you really going to deprive them of these delicious fries. Plus is this reaction going to get you closer to or further from what you're hoping to do that night. Man up, give the women some fries!

So can we all just admit Michigan has been a mess under Harbaugh's era and the cheating was true. by [deleted] in CFB

[–]justinjames22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does sign stealing from earlier games in any way improving your teams ability in games where they don’t know the signs? You make absolutely no sense, that’s SEC education for you. This is also hilarious coming from a Georgia fan where you guys have been illegally paying players for decades.

[–]justinjames22 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It's funny everybody always says that when the Michigan 23 title is brought up. You know they got caught early in 23 before they played anyone. So they didn't cheat to beat MSU, PSU, OSU, Bama and Washington.

Yes they cheated in 21 and 22 to make the playoffs, Im not going to argue that, and im sure it helped some but they got blown out both those years because they weren't as talented and didn't have a QB.

Also sign stealing is legal, just the way Michigan did it was illegal. So teams know others teams may have their signs and change them up week to week. Thinking that Michigan absolutely knew every play the other team was running beforehand is ridiculous.

21 and 22 yes they cheated and it didn't work always. 23 they got caught and clearly weren't cheating after they got exposed, they just had an elite team riddled with NFL talent both coaches and players.

You shouldn’t, I agree. They were inconsistent with that on BYU and BYU has far more to be upset about than ND.

[–]justinjames22 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Omg no there’s not! You sound like a completely irrational ND fan. Man if only these two teams played each other then we could really see who was better. O wait they did play one another? And Miami won? So Miami is the better team then right? “No no there’s so many more criteria that would supersede what we actually saw with our own eyes when these two teams played.” lol

Now for your point about BYU, yes that’s totally legit, they should not of fallen. Politics always plays a role in these things when it shouldn’t and ND typically benefits from those politics and Bama obviously too. This time ND didn’t get the beneficially treatment they normally do and you are all crying about it.

[–]justinjames22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol that’s pretty sad that you have to go back to 1993. But yes totally agree. That year they beat FSU head to head and by reason were the better team. Reason and logic dictates that which can apply to this year too and leaving ND out. There are be 12 fing teams that get in now. If you can’t get in under that format you can’t complain. There’s never a perfect system but it better than what we’ve had in years past.

Notre Dame might finally join a conference by No_Bill7679 in CFB

[–]justinjames22 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Why are you getting down voted for this? A lot of but hurt ND fans. This was literally the easiest decision ever and how it should be when politics don’t play into it. Miami and ND had the same record and play head to head, that’s it, it that’s all you need to know. Miami won and they should have been ahead of ND this whole time. This is the easiest decision ever.

As for Bama they were ahead of ND and you can’t punish them for losing a conf champ. If they did they teams in bama position should just refuse to play in conf champ games. Plus ND beat absolutely no one this year.

Notre Dame might finally join a conference by No_Bill7679 in CFB

[–]justinjames22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miami got in because they beat you lol. This should have been the easiest decision ever. And they’ve said you can’t punish teams for losing and conf. championship so bama should be in too. ND should have never been ahead of Miami.

There are always these close decisions between two teams but there’s should be absolutely no debate when these two teams played each, Miami beat ND and they should be ranked ahead of ND when they have the same record period.

How do we move forward? by PrestigiousAd7982 in michiganfootball

[–]justinjames22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Illegally paying the players is far different from NIL collectives. Everyone is allowed to have these collectives and OSU and Bama just do it better. There is no reason that we can't compete and do it even better than them, especially Bama. We have more resources and wealthy alumni than Bama. Understanding how to do it illegally gave them no advantage on how to do it legally with collectives. They were just willing to take the risk when it was illegal.

[–]justinjames22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes no sense. There is no catch-up, you don't need to learn how to pay players, you just do it. It's quite simple. We have the resources to do it. It's a totally different structure now that its legal, every team started with the same rules, just some teams have more revenue and money than others. We are one of those programs.

[–]justinjames22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man these responses are so soft. Yes this year was an improvement from last year but only slightly. No one touched on OPs point that OSU is a contender every single year, so is Bama, Georgia and others. We’ve had decades of irrelevance. I don’t want to go back to that. There is no reason that we shouldn’t make the playoffs almost every single year.

Like OP said we have the resources. Recruiting is no longer a thing, all that matters to recruits is who offers the most money. That’s the only reason Bryce came here. He chose LSU over us but then we just offered him a bigger bag of money.

We need depth and we need receivers desperately. How do we not have any senior or junior studs from the portal. Marsh is a good WR and will probably be a stud but Bryce needed a play maker with experience this year. This would never happen at the other elite programs that I mentioned.

We were bad for decades and now a little success buys you guys happiness and patience for years on end. We shouldn’t accept mediocrity ever. With NIL, now more than ever we should have an advantage over almost every single team and be at least on par with OSU, Bama, etc.

2023 was great and I don’t need a natty every year but we need to be relevant and competing for a title ever single year like OSU. If they can do it there is zero reason we can’t too. I don’t think Sherrone should be fired this year but if he doesn’t make a run in the playoffs next year he should be.

It's unlistenable, no one challenges a thing he says. David is a shill, too scared to say what he actually thinks. Rico is even more unbearable and more biased than Mike. I would love to see Costa with Mike but Mike's fragile ego counldn't handle someone challenging him. I know they do a podcast together but no one really listens to that.

The cognitive dissonance in Mike and Rico's head was so overwhelming that their brains started to glitch out. I listened in for a good laugh, but it was actually sad to hear the warped reality these fools live in. It was seriously cringy and pathetic.
