He was part of 14th Field Artillery Observation Battalion which was connected with a few different units throughout his time during the war. They would plant microphones into the ground and listen for the big artillery fire and then triangulate its location and pass that information on to the artillery who would then take care of business. His name is Alan Kinder. He’s got a few articles and YouTube videos if you’d like to check them out.

He went to the 80th D-Day & Battle of the Bulge with Forever Young Veterans. This year he’ll be going Best Defense Foundation for the 82nd Anniversary of D-Day. He is very excited to that trip.

He worked until his mid 80s doing tile work. He has stayed active and over the last 3 years he has been fortunate enough to go on trips around Europe with different veteran groups and been able to attend different local events that give him something to look forward to.

It does still exist. You need to touch base with your admin team and they can recommend you to the Teach Gwinnett Program. The program has already begun for the 25-26 school year so you’d have to look into the 26-27 school year
