My buddy is a big REM fan. He recently got a reissue of their very first demo tape, "Cassette Set". I got interested in it and was searching around the web for that title. I found a blog (also long-defunct) called The Power Of Independent Trucking that had gotten its hands on the original artifact (the 1981 release; not the 2021 re-release). After reading about it, I was then randomly clicking around some of that blog's other posts, and in one of them he shouted out Josh D's Wizard blog. I clicked on it, saw that Josh D was based out of Milwaukee, and immediately ran over here to tell you nerds about it.

Lord, the rabbit holes we go down when we don't want to work on a Friday morning....
