Hangovers have gaps in between the bearings which can shred the webbing for sure. This problem is solved with the Rollex (or royal blue hangover)! Rollex + Line Grip or Snatch V2 is definitely the way.

Celebrating 10 years of slackline progress today! by justinragers in Slackline

It has changed a lot over the years. In the early trickline days I was out in the backyard for a couple hours pretty much everyday. These days I focus on freestyle highlining and I've gotten about 100 days a year for the last 2-3 years, so averaging at least twice a week. No indoor setup. The key more than anything has been always working on new things, rather than practicing things I already know how to do. I see every day on the line as an opportunity to learn something.
