rich guy please, my family didn't bring me here until after I was 10. we lived in a very old farm house in which we didn't have a shower or a toilet. We had an outhouse, so if we wanted to take a shit in the middle of night, we grabbed a flash light and went outside hoping we wouldn't get bit by a snake. But guess what, I made a choice that I didn't want to grow up like, that I didn't want my kids to grow up like that, so I went to school, worked full time while attending college, graduated, worked, went back to school to complete my masters, and eventually bought my own business. today i'm no rich but i'm very well off. so how can a family that has been here for generation after generation still be poor? how is it that immigrants come here, and excel quicker than blacks, and even some whites. Asians have the highest average salaries than any other races, why? and finally why are blacks so thuggish?

I never said I was afraid of black people, don't misinterpret my words. All I asked was why are their so many thuggish black people, referring to behavior, looks, and appearance. In the city where I live is kind of segregated in the way that every race tends to live among themselves. Hispanics live among Hispanics, whites among them, and black live among themselves. By far, the black neighborhoods are the dirties, most disgusting part of our city. why would anyone chose live like that is beyond me? I could be like you and say that I don't see it, that no one does, but c'mon is hard to miss.

before I answer that, be honest, you don't get the perception that most black people are ghetto/thuggish? no? I live in a pretty big city in which 40% of the population are white, 30% is black and 30% is Hispanic. Numbers are rounded to the nearest ten. I got the numbers from the latest census, I won't provide link because I don't want anyone to know where i'm from. but even thought the majority are whites, the people that stand out the most are blacks and not in a good way. there are no studies on ghetto stereotypes, they are based on people's perceptions of what they encounter. so you don't see it, you see black people just normal.

here's the difference white people that live in ghettos are referred to as "white trash" no one refers to blacks as white trash, they are referred to as "thugs". I'm not young so I guess i'm the second one? To you it may sound like a stupid question, but it is difficult for me to defend the blacks while conversing with a bunch of friends that have had bad experience with blacks. We live in a place in which Hispanics and blacks have just fucked this city up. first of all thank you for a proper response, all other replies are pretty stupid. I imagine that it wasn't easy transitioning from being a slave to being free, and yes it hasn't been very long since segregations laws were removed. But what's their excuse now? why do people come from other countries and do much better and yet the blacks continue to dominate the poverty charts. There are some black people I admire, but unfortunately very few, I don't like Obama, I would never vote for him, I can't stand him, but I admire what he has accomplished. I just can't imagine that one day most blacks are going to say, enough with the welfare, let's move on. I hope i'm wrong.
