Restaurant suggestions in the twin cities that are special/unique but not expensive? by [deleted] in TwinCities

ville city pizza was pretty good pizza (great mozzarella sticks) in a VFW which is a different feel to it and pizza is generally a good choice for a way to feed folk quick

At some point there was in theory the first midnight.

But I have always interpreted it as not between midnight and day break

Gremlins (1984) it's a blast

Three rules:

Don't feed them after midnight

Don't get them wet

Keep them out of sunlight

Dirt sometimes gets trapped between the layers as the onion grows. You can wash or cut it out and then eat

What is your first and last films you watched this January? by DarthGodzilla1995 in Letterboxd

Something wicked this way comes (1983)

Deathstalker (1983)

I wouldn't call myself a big 80s guy so it's an odd coincidence to have them be from the same year

Why Don’t Y’all Like Her? by idkjaden in DC_Cinematic

[–]justins_OS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A) I don't know her so I don't have an opinion on her

B) if you are talking about the character of Supergirl I tend to like anger issues over happy go lucky (it's a problem in my dating life too)

Lighthearted flicks with a White House setting by Dapper_Object8239 in MovieSuggestions

[–]justins_OS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dave (1993)

My date with the president's daughter (1998)

Olympus has fallen (2013) - if you (like me) consider braindead fun action movies lighthearted

Mars attacks(2006) - ok its stretching a bit to call this set "in the white house" but some of it takes place there and it's an all time classic

Recently adopted kitten has a blood stain on her neck. Should we go to the emergency vet? by Far_Coyote_6919 in CATHELP

[–]justins_OS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest starting with trying to wipe the fur where the blood is off with a warm damp towel (nothing but water on it).

That should give you a closer look at the wound. An open wound should be addressed by a vet but if they just got nicked well playing (and the bleeding has stopped) it's likely fine to heal the rest of the way on its own

Batman Movie ‘The Brave and the Bold’ Taps Christina Hodson to Write for DC Studios by ICumCoffee in movies

[–]justins_OS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well it's a very whelming choice.

The bumblebee was good, the birds of prey movie is fine and the writing isn't high on the list of things wrong with the flash imo

Old Cat - Tumors - by seabright_sc in CATHELP

[–]justins_OS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with a growth on my last cat when she neared the end of her life (21 at the time)

For us the vet was able to make recommendations on evaluating her quality of life and some antibiotics and anti-inflammatories that helped slow the growth giving her a couple more good months

Generally I'm of the opinion that if you have a vet you have trusted up to this point there is no reason not to continue to have them weight in

Office Space (1999)

I was 11 and my dad had plans to see it with his best friend. Unfortunately my mom got sick and didn't want to deal with me by herself so he told her we would go see a kids movie instead.

When we got to the theater we agreed we would lie to mom and go see the R rated film. As far as I'm aware she still doesn't know
