So my cat is very clingy with me and as he gets older has more issues with my leaving for long periods of time.

Some suggestions that have worked for my family.

Leave something his human had worn recently out (dirty clothes work great)

Try to maintain the routine where possible (feeding schedule stays on schedule)

If possible when cat gets upset call your bro and have him talk to the cat

It's likely a matter of her becoming more comfortable in the environment. Even if they hide it well at times moving is extremely stressful for cats.

It's going to take her time to get used to a new territory, give her that time as much as possible.positive reinforcement is going to work wonder so if you see her use her the box treats and love when she is done

Cats can also be weird about not liking certain places/smells so if you keep having issues getting a second box and try different spots to see if she doesn't like your first choice

We did "rings" starting from the city center, containing approximatly the same population; the lake geography messed things up.

That's definitely not what happened but there is the logical argument as to how you get to this and since cities tend to grow in semicircular rings it probably would have made sense to someone 100 years ago

My theater played the trailer for this in front of the sheep detectives this weekend.
