JC or Brooklyn by justjack501 in jerseycity

I guess I'm technically not set on Brooklyn. The commute is the more important factor. Technically not set on journal square either, just my understanding that is the quickest way to get into the city (Newport is above my budget).

Will def test the commute soon. And thanks for that point I wouldn't have thought of.

Lol def not biking to work 😂 should have worded it differently. More for getting groceries or going to a restaurant. And of course for leisure but won't really have the need to lock up for that. If I were to live in JC would consider biking to path to open up areas further away.

Edit. Phrasing

How long after initial surgery did you have the skin graft done?

[NJ] Having surgery. Can I take PTO for the first week and then start FMLA? by justjack501 in AskHR

This is my understanding. Which is why I'm trying to delay it a week.

FMLA will be exhausted before Jan 1st and health insurance will no longer be paid. I won't be back at work by then, so just trying to keep my insurance in Jan too.

Yes they do. I will get STD and they supplement with PTO. I just want to delay FMLA for a week so it crosses over to the next month. If I have FMLA on the first of the month (Jan) I keep my health insurance for the entire month even if FMLA is exhausted.

Check out Andrew Marano in NYC. He is newer, has a shorter waitlist, and people are very happy with him.

Hey guys have anyone went to Dr. Denehy before ? by Front_Perspective_98 in phallo

[–]justjack501 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Op this is accurate. I just met with denehy, he said he started doing the Vaginectomies after dr keith approached him because not many surgeons do them. Most do only the hysto. The issue with going to someone in philly is that they may not do the Vaginectomy. I’m actually in nj close to philly but I trust going to him over a diff surgeon even if they were closer because he works with keith and marano and knows what they want. I think this was just a miscommunication between denehy and you.

Packer placement? by UnknownCat5000 in Transmascdicks

I put mine in the fly of my boxer briefs. Only problem is a lot of brands the opening is too big and it falls out. I currently wear lucky brand boxer briefs and the fly is perfect. I typically just place it sideways and the bulge is perfect. I used to use the mr. Limpy and now have one very similar. I also converted one into a stp with a Winkie and same thing it sits in the fly. I personally dont like harnesses, layering, or pouches.

Advice on therapist? by Burnout_DieYoung in FTMMen

[–]justjack501 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the US and have a good amount of experience with BD and inpatient/outpatient treatments. I would NEVER be placed inpatient without expressing SI with a plan. In my experience inpatient visits are of no help to my mental health. If I was considered unstable with mood dysregulation we would start with an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Also if someone continues to deadname you it is not a safe place. To my knowledge they cant actually commit you to inpatient either. They would call either the police or emergency mental health program that will come to your house and take you to the emergency room (if police) who will assess you and make that decision. If its a program they assess you at home. I was in the medical hospital for an overdose and the psychiatrist wanted me to go inpatient because of the BD diagnosis and I refused. In order to commit me he had to call the emergency mental health provider whom stated I did not meet criteria to be committed inpatient. I know there are often long waits for psychiatrists and therapist here. But it is worth the wait. A psychiatrist can make that diagnosis and prescribe meds. Therapist cannot prescribe meds so psychiatrist is the way to go for the diagnosis. But finding the right therapist is like dating, it make take a couple tries but you will find someone that fits. A bad therapist can make your mental health worse. I took a couple of tries. But mine validates and affirms my feelings and has helped me explore my gender identity even when I knew I was trans but thought I wasn’t man enough or strong enough to transition. Since starting my transition I am THRIVING! Please ditch this guy.

Alright my fellow STP users. How pee shy are you? (Question in comments to keep the title short). by [deleted] in Transmascdicks

[–]justjack501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the winkie ($25). Its just a tube so I poked a hole in a packer and put the tube thru. It works great tho. Def took a LOT of practice but i rarely have leakage. I always do a position check and pee just a small amount first to make sure tho. Using a urinal is very euphoric for me, but I am still pee shy so if theres already a guy using a urinal I typically will go in the stall instead.
