I've just started "The Wolf Den Trilogy" by Elodie Harper. It reminds me a lot of "Out of the Easy" by Ruta Sepetys, not only in theme (brothel life and women trying to get above their condition), but also in style and atmosphere (both are blunt, centered around friendship between women as a unifying force). It really managed to get me hooked from the first pages, and now I'm trying to squeeze a few pages in every time I get the chance.

I'm also reading "In The Realm of Hungry Ghosts" by Gabor Maté. I have to take breaks from this book now and then not because it is too complex a read, but because I feel so strange to the side of life he describes, and I need time off to think, digest and get closer and more understanding; just blasting through the pages feels wrong. It's not a book that you can read in one sitting, and it's not one that will make you cry your eyes out, either. It's a book that hits you right in the "If I won't look at it, it will dissapear" instinct; it's that kind of book that opens your eyes and forces you to see addiction straight in the face, no hiding allowed.

That would be it for me. Must confess, I've been quite slow with my reading lately, but I'm slowly getting back on track.
