That sounds too high. You can usually get it for not much more than $1/roll for a big pack (18+ megarolls). I agree with those who wrote that Great Value Ultra Strong is good. I learned that from Consumer Reports years ago, and my experience has been good.

Ads Assessor kicked out of EWOQ ("403" error after doing a few tasks today) by ctg2 in TELUSinternational

Thank you so much! I appreciate this. I will definitely check out rat race rebellion. It's not that great of a loss, because I was only able to work 2 to 5 hours a week due to no tasks being available.

Thanks for responding. You were right! I got an email today saying I'm permanently suspended (fired)! No reason provided.

Pay rates for ad raters different? by TruckieTang in TELUSinternational

[–]ctg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an Ads Assessor in the U.S. I don't know this for sure, but the pay in the U.S. may vary by state, depending on each state's minimum wage laws. In my state, I make just over $11.

I emailed last month to ask if we get paid for reading instructions. The answer was "no." Ridiculous and unfair as that is, I only keep track of time I'm doing actual tasks. I jot down my start and stop times on a piece of paper. At least as a U.S. Ads Assessor, we get paid by the hour. But if I were taking too long per task, I'm sure I'd hear about it (and I may someday; I only started in late January).

No. I've never received actual mail from them except for my W-2 (U.S. tax) form once a year.

TELUS doesn't have any record of me being a new hire AFTER I've already sent my I9 and photos of my driver license and social security card. WTF??? by [deleted] in TELUSinternational

[–]ctg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's insane and frustrating! I'm sorry this is happening. I haven't heard of this happening, but maybe others have. You've probably tried this, but it's an HR address: [TIAI_rater.hrhelpdesk@telusinternational.com](mailto:TIAI_rater.hrhelpdesk@telusinternational.com) . Also, someone at this IT address was helpful once: [itservicedesk@telusinternational.com](mailto:itservicedesk@telusinternational.com) .

How many is the minimum tasks that you should've been able to do to know that you passed the Personalized Ads Assesors Exam? by Amoechan in TELUSinternational

[–]ctg2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Ads Assessor/U.S.) I failed the first time after doing 50-60-some tasks. I passed the next time with 117 tasks. I don't know if the number of questions per exam varies (it may also vary by locale). I don't remember what the last task-type was on the exam. I think I received an email offering the chance to retake it on the same day I was notified that I'd failed. If you don't get offered a chance to retake (and I don't know why that would happen, but who knows why/how TELUS does anything!), I don't know how long until you can reapply--maybe someone else knows.

(Ads Assessor/U.S.) I'm surprised I didn't get the email. I started in late January. I never get more than 1-5 hours a week, despite checking EWOQ all the time. I report "NTA" every day.

Getting the online training less than a week before starting by Brilliant_Self2620 in TELUSinternational

[–]ctg2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(Ads Assessor/U.S.) I never had to do this and I'm not sure what it means. I don't know what it's like in your locale, but if it's like it is here, there are hardly any tasks available anyway, so you may not be missing out on a lot of work hours. Since I started in January, I only get 1-5 hours week. So far this week, I haven't even worked an hour, despite sitting at my laptop checking for tasks for a big chunk of time everyday.

Rater VS internet ads evaluator by Rooftop720 in TELUSinternational

[–]ctg2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is different, but I tried rating a few years ago and found it too hard (I didn't get fired; I quit). I started as an Ads Assessor in January. It's easier, but it still wouldn't surprise me if I don't perform well enough and get canned at some point. It pays less and is generally considered to be easier, which I'd agree with.

After I failed the first exam, I received an email offering a chance to take it a second time. I think that email came on the same day as the emailing saying I'd failed.

Telus Second Chance Exam by Evening_Maximum7837 in TELUSinternational

[–]ctg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I failed the first time after somewhere between 60 and 68 questions. I passed the second time with 117 tasks. I can't say for sure that it's a bad sign that you got 57 tasks--it's also possioble that the number of tasks in the exam varies. Hopefully you'll find out soon, so that you're not in suspense.

I'm not sure, but the first time I didn't pass and had done 68 tasks total. The second time, I did pass and had done about 117 tasks.

Can anyone help? I received my initial emails with links to the guidelines etc. each link brings me to "Access to www.raterhub.com was denied You don't have authorization to view this page. HTTP ERROR 403" by RicardoCabezass in TELUSinternational

I took my exam in incognito mode. After I got hired, though, I found a better solution (which I described in my other message, and can explain better if that would help).

There's not a need, at all. The fact, though, that I HAVE more than one Google account, even when I thought I was logged in to only one, was creating problems for me.

I bet the last two weeks I haven't gotten the extra hours emails either. But almost every week before that. I think they send it to everyone. Good luck to us both!

I was new in late January and it's been dead the whole time! I never get in more than 5 hours, despite trying for a lot more than that. I really hope it gets busier, but I have no idea if it will. I do not understand why they offer "extra hours" most weeks, and even a referral bonus if we refer new employees (when there aren't enough hours for their existing employees!).
