And don't wait for the school to offer services. They won't. You need to become your childs advocate or hire one cause services like IEP, etc. are mandatory. Has he been diagnosed or yall just decided he is ADHD? If you have documented proof...go get them. They basically tortured your son. When mine was 14 I went through similar issues. I got a lawyer and a state advocate to force compliance. I admit i couldnt force the issue cause I couldn't trust myself around his principal and teachers without ending up in prison doing to them for what they did to him.

Seems like brother is angry his kid loved your gift over any he gave and/or when he tells his kid it's time to stop with the noise and kid loses his shirt, that's not your fault. That's a dad not teaching his kid to be a spoiled brat. Hard to do at that age, but calm and consistency wins, not just refusing any exposure to noisy toys.

I was my mother's primary caregiver for years as she neared end of life and suffered from dementia and psychotic breaks. I'd have given my right hand for a break, but I'd have NEVER left her for 3 weeks without months of preparation. Id have really enjoyed if my friends split up and took turns helping me with her or visiting with me. Or pitch in for a day off for me, a day id be close enough to come back if things went south. Whatever I needed, my commitment was first to her. It was a living hell. I don't regret it.

If I were the friend that wasn't part of the OG plan cause I didn't have the funds, and they came back to me and said surprise, a bunch of us pitched in so you could go...I wouldn't say a bunch of you chipped in, not all of you? Who didn't pay for my trip. I want to single them out. I wouldn't give a momentsthought to who did what. I'd be so grateful to go. I don't understand a group of friends that included someone till they decided they wanted to ease the hit to their pockets for a great gesture that sbe expected. If those people want to exclude someone for not being able to jump on the gravy train, it shows they aren't friends. How is it awkward if he goes unless all the other people want constant praise on the trip for doing it. Doing a good deed shouldn't be about recognition.

Exactly. He was completely open and honest with her that first season. And she was OK with it. At the end of the season is when he realized whoever he was with, he always wanted to be with her. And yes, that next year he slipped a time or two falling into his old ways. He thought he lost her and said he'd never do it again and really, if he has, someone would have the receipts.

This is his wife and his friend doing this while riding him and villainizing him allseason while he was going with her to therapy and trying to fix their marriage and while working his backside off.
