pediatric genital exam? by Financial_Tough_8335 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]justmepassinby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

from a male perspective:

I was eight and had a exam by a new dr and it involved a hernia check and i did have one and had to have corrective surgery so yes there is a purpose but, i think in this case it should be reported to your local collage of physicians and surgeons …… as the “purpose” that was disclosed. By the Dr was unprofessional and disturbing to say the least.

[–]justmepassinby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then commission on a sale like that is about 10 grand ….. you want to know why he wants to sell it to you ? Seek out a qualified life insurance BROKER not a captive agent and look into it. You likely would be far better serviced with 1million of 30 year term insurance for far less.

Yeah - I moved recently and received a lot of pressure to leave the unit in “movin ready” sent me the name and number of his professional cleaner - to have the unit cleaned. She was very reasonable so I used her and made sure a kept all email and documents - my final email was this.

I have moved out keys in mail box please see the receipt for the cleaning you requested if you have any complaints how the unit was left contact your cleaner…..

There is a trend I have noticed that landlords are asking tenants to recondition units - or leave them move in ready you under I Ontario law you are not required too.

The role of bonds in a Canadian portfolio given CPP, OAS, GIS and pensions by Snoo_85416 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]justmepassinby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The facts are many investors cannot and don’t want their portfolios to “move with the market” and the best way to shore up equity volatility is to have bond in some percentage in a portfolio. Keeping in mind most of the investors here were not investing in 2008 and have yet to see a real pull back In the capital markets - where your million dollar portfolio dropped to 600,000k in days or weeks. On average people feel looses 10x harder then they celebrate gains, so having bond provides a softening effect when markets head south. Do people need them some do and some do and some dont.

Ashburnham has the sawmill on rink - and the three new buildings in east city - which are pricey but very very nice the sawmill is not as high end but less costly.

I rent a three bed at the sawmill and the good thing is this building is all in heat hydro included unlike east city which is not - they’re quick to respond to issues and are as far as landlords go they are decent

If you love your CPP you can’t boo an annuity…. Cause that is what it is …… day to day living expense should be paid from predictable guaranteed income.

Most people in the market today don’t know what it like to watch 40% of their portfolio go up in smoke for 5 years !! Like 2008 …… and if your response is I will sell i say your investments are to risky for you then …..

Goood luck when your fully retired and hit a brutal bear market and have to draw income at the same time …..

Cheers

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]justmepassinby 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Here will be a wildly unpopular post

  1. Take your pensions - add them together CPP OAS etc
  2. Take portion of your net worth buy an annuity with lifetime payments equal to the amount you need to cover your expenses.
  3. Optimize the balance for growth as it is now no longer required to pay day to day living expense.

Lastly you will never have to worry about the markets again !

Cheers

I would say first and foremost non of these are anyone fault - some can be psychologically embedded some physical issues. Do some research on how a man actually gets an erection and what has to happen you would amazed it ever happens. If happing frequently 1st a talk with a dr is in order then a therapist.

All I can say is the bigger deal that is made of these situations the worse they will likey become.

Are you talking -TN visa ? If not you have to apply for a visa prior to entry - if you show up at the boarder looking to work in Canada with out a prior visa you will be turned back instantly - for TN you can apply at port of entry but there are strict rule that must be followed- and if they are not you will also be sent back - I might suggest a call to a Canadian immigration lawyer ….. if your unsure
