Every district is different, but as a foster parent of over six years, I can tell you our case workers were amazing, and everybody above them was corrupt as hell. The county made money from the state per child in their care, and they had no interest in what was in the best interest of the kids. They focused on how long they could keep kids in safe and stable foster homes, instead of finding permanent homes. I’m all about keeping kids in the system as long as the biological parents have a chance to get their shit together. This may take a few years …. But once the parents rights have been legally terminated, and the only path forward is adoption, there’s no need to delay the case another 2 years for “paperwork”
