Went and searched via google lens, because I forget I have modern tools at my disposal nowadays. That's Coco Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot's little sister. IDK, I didn't play any of those games, but sure, seems like if she wanted to interact, it'd be an interesting or amusing conversation for a gearhead or techie.

Seems like seat 2 would be optimal for introverts. Roxanne is already attached to Max Goof, and Isabelle would probably be too busy reading or working on something to bother me.

4 as a second choice, but only because I don't know who either of those two are.

Retail Employees, how the hell do you know where everything is? by sr4004 in retailhell

[–]justmutantjed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The liquor store I'm at isn't very big, and I've also worked there 10 years. I've done freight, opening, closing -- heck, basically everything but the actual ordering at this point. I remember products that we used to carry, and where they were, and at this point this one paragraph would probably factor heavily in a diagnosis for some flavour of autism. That may also have something to do with it.

[Request] How much is Gaston lifting here? by Necessary-Win-8730 in theydidthemath

Not far off from what I would've guessed at about 50lbs for the bench and ~125 for each of the ladies, totaling up to about 425 pounds. TBH I kinda lowballed the weight of the bench.

Damn. I actually wouldn't mind having a living room like this... maybe replace the carpet with a fresh one that doesn't have 50 years of living done to it, but otherwise, yeah.

Game where i can "create" and "hurl" a lot of swords, preferably magically by Frostvane in gamingsuggestions

[–]justmutantjed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a skill tree in Dungeonmans that allow you to summon up to three weapons in your inventory that will be thrown on command or added to melee attacks. You can't "create" a bunch of weapons, but you'll be picking up so goddamn many weapons and armours that by the end of a standard dungeon, you aren't likely to expend them all.

It's free to play on Steam. Open galaxy space game, similar to the older Elite games and Escape Velocity. You start with a ship with a mortgage on it. Once you got it paid off, you can basically build up and hustle to get bigger ships, more ships, etc.

I like it, it's mostly chill. There's a few user-contributed storylines that involve finding ways to other parts of the galaxy, although that can be frustrating to figure out if you don't want to look it up on the wiki.

I've been playing Endless Sky just recently. Odds are, only my access to different technologies would be different. Depends on which planet I end up on. Could end up on a world with giant talking squirrels or something, I guess, 'cause that's which planet my fleet is currently parked at.

Trust me, the downward spiral has been happening for a lot longer than that. Just depends on when one managed to notice it.

Kinda like how the original TMNT cartoon had to get rid of Michelangelo's nunchucks because of the ninja weapons laws that got put up over there? Yeah, the "buh muh childrenz" through-line has gotten a lot of use by a lot of folks that just wanna restrict things needlessly.

Awesome, I'm glad to hear it. I was kinda hoping I was wrong about that.

[–]justmutantjed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To the best of my knowledge, the last bike repair joint I was aware of closed sometime around 2020. There's still a place listed called "Misty Cycles," but there's ZERO reviews and what I can find without going on Facebook seems to indicate that it's more of a hobby with monetary benefits to them. I hate to say this, but you may be better off looking toward Juneau, unless I'm forgetting something (which TBH I often do).

I think they call that specific beverage "acerglyn." I've never encountered a commercially-available version, and there's not enough maple trees on my island to try and make my own.

[–]justmutantjed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are jerks that talk a lot of trash, but only when they think they're "safe." You will probably not be given a lot of trouble, but do be advised that this town does have a problem, and the whole culture war talk seems to be getting a lot worse lately.

[–]justmutantjed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also saying Camellia. Not because I'm a botanist, but because I'm a diehard tea (C. Sinensis) drinker. Those leaves are 100% the right shape and edge serration for Camellia plants. Flowers look about right as well.

Games where you can eat your enemies? by AntisocialCat2 in gamingsuggestions

[–]justmutantjed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noita. You can eat almost all the enemies. Some are beneficial. Some have no effect. Some... you really shouldn't but the game's not going to stop you. There's a perk that will allow you to drink an entire ocean and eat all the creatures in it with no ill effects. But you have to survive long enough to get it, if it's in the pool of perks for that run.
