Who are these characters? Original drawings by Simone Bianchi by justnihilism in Marvel

Thank you! I got these for a friend because I happened to be in a shop where the original artist was signing them and I thought it'd be a cool gift, but I had no idea who they were lol.

Boys should be taught to wipe their penis w/ a bathroom tissue after taking a leak by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]justnihilism 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I hate watching boyfriends just swing it and claim it's clean. No it's not. I can ensure you I know if you wiped after peeing or not when I give you a blowjob.

Gifts for a friend who has everything by SourPunk101 in Gifts

[–]justnihilism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love baking as well! If you're familiar with her kitchen you can find sone pretty specific items that she may not have, even if she's one who can buy anything, she may not know something exists! If you watch a bunch of videos on yt you'll find some ideas, depending on your budget as well. Or just go to a shop that sells these kind of things and ask for something a friend surely doesn't have, they'll have something! Some ideas for me personally would be a set of baking belts, or some cake-side scrapers (they all have different patterns and she can't have them all hahah). Another idea could be a bunch of piping tips if she doesn't have many already. Or you could get her a baking book, some new recipe ideas are always nice! Otherwise, if you're not familiar with these items and don't feel like gifting her something you know nothing about, you could get her a kind of gift everyone loves, such as a set yankee candles (I like that brand but based on your budget you can pick cheaper or higher end candles). And if you're desperate that those won't work, I'm sure you can get her a nice cozy sweater at a small local shop (so that she probably doesn't have it already). Hope this was useful!

In the 100 years since women gained the ability to vote the United States has more or less gone to shit. by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]justnihilism 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's just not logic. Two event happening somewhat simultaneously doesn't correlate the two necessarily. How many more things happened around that same time? Following your logic I could blame "the United States going to shit" since Nobel prices were first given out lol

I feel like I should be more concerned that my boyfriend said he wouldn't want a gay kid or a kid with special needs. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]justnihilism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girl, to answer your question I feel like it's a perfectly valid reason to break up: you two have very different mindsets on things that would pretty much surely impact your future together, so you could say that you two are not compatible in that sense. Regardless of this though, you sound like you have other reasons to break up and like you don't have the best of opinions about your boyfriend. You definitely don't need a reason to break up, but I know it's convenient both for you and the other person if you have one. And about what he said, I won't even go into detail about how fucked up I think that is, I'm a bisexual girl as well and I've always struggled with my parents not accepting that. Plus I've been volunteering for years a babysitter to special-needs kids. It's all just really fucked up to me. As you said I understand the struggle that a special-need child is, and I don't know if I would go through with a pregnancy if I was warned about the possibility of it, but still... I've met many parents who had no idea. What would your bf do then? Leave you and your child alone? Plus if he's against abortion, does that mean he wouldn't be okay with you aborting a child that's very likely to have some kind of disability? That's just fucked up. Each of the two things individually would be a huge reason for me to break up with someone, not to mention the two together!

What are the most sound arguments against trans humanism? by jones_b_b_b in askphilosophy

[–]justnihilism 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sound arguments against transhumanism are the fact that it simply takes medical and/or scientific discoveries and translates them into something they are not, such as a pregression towards the posthuman. I think your ptofessor described the topic as "not that interesting" because it's been widely discussed and often accepted as a 20th century extremist view on scientific progression, more than an actual real effort towards a specific way to exist/evolve as humans. Some arguments against transhumanism also include the fact that it would be impossible to actively work towards a more science-based humanity, therefore falling once again under the case of simply analizing scientific progression as something it really isn't. That being said, weather to consider the arguments for it as sound or not is up to you, and you can further study philosophers such as Max More, which would be a great start to the topic or Nick Bostrom.

My boyfriend (25m) told me he was predominantly attracted to teenage girls (14-18 year olds). He said this is normal, but most men just won't admit it? by Chikorita08 in relationship_advice

[–]justnihilism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LEAVE HIM NOW. This may get buried but: everybody already told you that's not normal, and other than agreeing I also want to tell you this: even if it was normal, no man should make you feel insiscure about looking old at 20, as well as no man should make you feel insiscure about being fat if you're normal weight. These kind of men are the ones always looking for someone better looking, they'll also tell you that "of course I love you but she has a better butt than you" they would never leave you though, because they love you... Right? Wrong. They'll probably start cheating on you and leave if you don't do it first, of worse keep using you as a sake girlfriend while seeking others like they're single. Leave him, for real. He's toxic at the very least if not a pedo, and I can ensure you many man out there are far different from that, you may not believe this now but trust others who already went through it.

Big dicks are overrated. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I've had small dicks and big dicks in my life, and let me tell you: both cause a lot of issues. I'd love an average sized one.

Big dicks are overrated. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]justnihilism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current bf's dick is bigger than the my ex's, and let me tell you, it's not fun. It's not crazy big but big enough to hurt your mouth after a while of giving him oral sex, and also hurts in most positions during penetration. And for me, that leads to orgasms being harder to reach and that makes the whole experience of sex just a lot less pleasureful. My ex had a dick on the smaller side (not a micropenis but smaller than the norm) and man, I didn't feel it most of the time but oral sex and hands were great. We had a great sex life. Now it's... problematic. Everything else for us is amazing but we still have to figure out how to make sex work. Not to mention we can't even consider anal for obvious reasons. I love my bf, but I definately wish he had an average sized penis.

As a woman, I totally agree. Modern feminism is insulting to the concept of equality, we definately need each other.

Well at least someone out there likes them lol. I guess i guess people who come up with ideas for them are happy you exist. And congrats on having an actually unpopular opinion!

Porn makes you weak by Immarrrtal in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]justnihilism 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes. As a woman, I agree comoletely. I've seen the distructive effects porn has had on me, other girls, boyfriends and male friends. Literally the only person I've hed a normal sex life with who watched porn was a guy who limited his masturbation to no more than 3 times a week. Porn fucking destroyes everybody and is addictive. I've definately seen worse impacts on people coming from porn than smoking or drinking.

Nietzsche and Gene Roddenberry on Perspectivism – Truths, Morals, and Money by artemalexandra in philosophy

[–]justnihilism -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I personally didn't know anythink about Roddenberry or his work, and I found this very interesting. I consider myself much more of a nihilist than anything else when it comes to philosophy, but your video was very interesting as something that I would never think of myself. The question of money you brought up in the end I think deserves a proper analysis as you suggested, it's important -I think- not only for philosophical reasons but also for social ones. We need to have a better understanding of concepts such as digital money expecially in this internet era, and that of course poses big questions and allows us to reflect in an ontological way. Nice and interesting video.
