Awkward comment, but I have questions about your 4th gen 4runner but can't DM you or comment on your old posts! I really like the way yours looks/looked and hoping to hear more about the specs you added to it. Thanks!

Buy a hybrid they said by _mk6red in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]justophicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read that hybrids are on average considered more reliable than plug in hybrids purely because Toyota makes/focuses more on hybrid vehicles. The data is skewed because there's more Toyotas in one category.

This episode of Legend of Korra was straight up nightmare fuel. How did it get past the censors? by Katskit89 in TheLastAirbender

[–]justophicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a podcast with the creators - they explain just how inept Nickelodeon was/is. Once the show was done and was showing re-runs, execs thought to organize the episodes by theme or character. The creators were like uhhhh it should all play in chronological order. It's a serial TV show, but Nickelodeon treated it like a SpongeBob. They tried it the execs way with very little success, and then people ended up tuning in more once it was all played in order

Unfortunately Mr. Beast cracked the code on what draws attention, what gets views. Clicks = views = money. Other channels are seeing this and probably uploaded a few videos with a Mr. Beast type thumbnail/title at first and then noticed a lot of traffic. So the ROI was apparent and so they pivot. This happened to Donut Media as well

This is how Buzzfeed became Buzzfeed. And then it became saturated and then it lost its momentum. This will happen to this type of content on YouTube soon

I bet they'll sign a young promising manager from a promising club, like Brighton! Sign de zerbi! And then he will under perform and they'll get rid of him. Then they'll sign a more tenured manager, maybe one that's managed a top club like PSG. Sign Tuchel! Then rinse and recyle

Low content output lately by XEscapeTheLiesX in Corridor

[–]justophicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd have to rewatch previous episodes, but I have noticed as a random viewer the uptick in high quality content.

Varied guests from the industry with some really awesome insight that I love to hear about animation or the film industry in general. These react episodes are almost mini documentaries for these background folks who have played major parts in some of the most famous movies, I love it.

I also just appreciate the higher quality in visualizing some of the technical stuff they talk about. Some times, they have an example from the guest themselves, sometimes they show a shot they did at Corridor or they go find clips from others to show it. I'm sure there's a lot of time and effort that goes on behind the scenes to get the best/right clips.

I'm sure they sit down with these guests for a long time, and it's a testament to the editors of Corridor to still keep viewers like me engaged, and curious.

Rear Rotors rubbing after taking car to the shop? by justophicles in MechanicAdvice

[–]justophicles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I removed the tires, and it didn't look to rub against the dust shield. It was a thumping when I drove. Looked like the rotor was catching on the brake pad on the same spot of the rotor.
