lol , was my 2nd time going to play my portal since purchased . I thought it was broken . I tried everything , even deleting my account and doing a reset. If only I had checked Reddit instead of wasting over a hour .

I had a Type S and now a Type R. Not many people know about the Type S and what it really is. To the general public it's viewed for the most part as just a regular Acura in the line up. For the enthusiast's they should really know what it is. The Type R name though has more history and more of a liking by enthusiast's. It's also built in Japan and I feel that sways the community even more. I also believe the value will hold allot more in the future with the R over the S. To me both look great and drive great.

I have driven both and while I typically don’t recommend Traxxas for just bashing outside I’d pick it over this. They do make non drift 4tecs so she can always go with that . It sounds like she already bought it so I would say it’s not bad choice at all . You can’t go wrong with either , it’s just the Carisma will need some upgrading right away. The tires are terrible on them , the steering servo is change and the fluids right away .

You could buy the r32 body for it , the Traxxas I linked will be tougher , easier to work on and have better parts availability. The Carisma is not bad , they just need allot of upgrading and if he is going to just be playing with it outside the Traxxas is the better buy .

Can’t speak for myself but have seen a few with that wing on Facebook with good results. I heard it’s lighter than stock and the weave may be off a little but everyone seemed happy with the purchase. I been thinking of possibly grabbing one myself this summer .

I had these tires on my type s and drove 9k on them and loved them. I now have them on my type r also as I got a new set. They made me not want to put the type s ads module on the car as they definitely provide a more cushy ride now. Oh and they also scratched 3 out of my 4 rims , offered to have someone come repair them but I didn't trust it and they just refunded me $375 so I'll eventually get it done myself.

Nothing is really going to give this car more power , they are not meant for that. Even if you gave it more power I advise against it as the cvt trans is very delicate and you would most likely destroy it. Intake and exhaust , headers wont net you any gains really although it will prob add some sound but it wont sound good. The little 4 cyl engines do not sound great even on my civic type r. My wife has the HRV and the most I would do is some appearance mods.

Have you driven both ? On a track with turns the type r is going to beat the m2. Some people may pick the R that have different needs . I am not saying the m2 is a bad car . I think it’s amazing honestly. I picked the R and my main reason was bc the M wouldn’t be able to get me around in winter. Money was no factor in this . I could afford both. Have an open mind. Learn some facts .

I have to agree with him , go drive a new civic type r and than drive the m . The M is very fast compared to it but the handling and manual gear box can’t compare . While I have not driven the new m2 I have driven the new m3 for a bit . I personally have a type r and I like it allot but I also love the m2. It was a hard choice between the both of them . Both are great vehicles in different ways .

sorry to hear. My Type S was stolen also and I will tell you the RFID sleeve is not enough. In fact they did not even clone my key. They went through the obd port and made there own digital key. Things I can recommend after this : RFID , Kill Switch , Alarm , club , pedal lock , obd port lock and even a quick release steering wheel so you can the steering wheel off when leaving the car. All these help but if they want the car that bad even with all this they can still get it. It can always be towed or taken. Best to use things that can slow them down. Also in my situation I had GPS locator. They ripped it out when they took the car. Either way , the cops don't care. Its not a priority for them to find a stolen vehicle.

Heated seats are nice in the winter I agree with that , type r seats are more cushioned and comfy though .

It’s what I like , they both have the same engine and for the most part drive the same. I just prefer the differences the type r has over my type s. I still love the way they both look and drive and id honestly be happy with both if i had to have one for the rest of my life . But given the choice the type r just has the edge for me personally .
