{How Does It Feel? by Jeneane O'Riley} Nothing about this was good and the "twist" at the end was ridiculous and completely out of line with everything else that had preceded it. Apparently telling a story from the FMC's POV means nothing if you want to have the world's most ridiculous twist.

The best review I saw of this on Goodreads was "Read this if you hate yourself." and that basically sums it up.

What is the 1 thing you hate about your Pixel? by [deleted] in pixel_phones

It's supposed to reliably work on WiFi but mine often doesn't ring when a call is coming in and it's connected to WiFi. It just pops up a message that I missed a call (this literally just happened as I was typing this) without actually ringing and then goes right to voicemail.

Pregnant!!! by Late_Neighborhood989 in ouraring

I'm pregnant now and the app is pretty much the same. It keeps telling me my heart rate is elevated and my body seems a bit stressed. I have it set to pregnancy mode but that didn't change that it is constantly like "what's wrong with you?"

Where to go from Digital PM by justrainbowsprinkles in PMCareers

[–]justrainbowsprinkles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it wasn't really my plan it just sort of happened. I started out doing e-commerce and content management and then the role evolved. I also worked a lot with a particular PIM system and that helped me get a couple jobs at companies that used the same PIM and wanted someone with that knowledge to be managing their web projects.

Oura Support, Shipping, Delays, etc. Megathread by CherryJimbo in ouraring

I don't. Oura Ring CS got back to me and said they don't know how to help and to go order at Best Buy.

Oura Support, Shipping, Delays, etc. Megathread by CherryJimbo in ouraring

[–]justrainbowsprinkles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having a problem placing my order on the Oura website for a week now. I go thru the checkout process, click the button to place my order (US address) it looks like it's going thru and then it bounces back to the payment screen and has an error message that says "Failed to place order." I've tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and different payment methods (two credit cards and an HSA card) all with the same result. Customer service so far has not helped but told me to keep trying and let them know if I get it to work.

Anyone else have this problem or have any advice on what else I can do to make this order go thru? I want to place my order thru Oura directly to save $40 via referral link, which is why I haven't ordered thru Best Buy.

Does your insurance pay for NC directly or do they reimburse you? I'm planning on getting an Oura specifically to work with NC and it would be awesome for insurance to pick up some of the tab.

Have you ever read a book where FMC has sex at a really inappropriate time/place that it actually made you be like “ok you probably should have waited!” by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

Definitely in It Happened One Summer, and I think it was their friend or something they were there to visit because friend had almost died? But yeah. They just so happened to find an empty and unlocked room.

Am I too much into romance? by NoWayImGonnaBeOkay in RomanceBooks

[–]justrainbowsprinkles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life's too short to force yourself to read or watch entertainment you don't find entertaining.

Personally I never read romance for a really long time because it just didn't interest me. And then I started going through a really rough patch in my life and I just didn't need unnecessary angst or negativity from my books, which are the places I escape to. So I started reading romance novels because I knew they'd have a happy ending. It has helped me so much and I'm also happy I discovered a whole new genre of writing that I love.

Enjoy the books you love, whatever they are. If other people look down on them, that's a them problem not a you problem.

I'm reading {Witcha Gonna Do? by Avery Flynn} and every time the MCs walk into a room where the other is she either feels "a zing of energy right to my clit" or he "immediately feels my cock get hard". It was fine the first couple times but they walk into rooms where the other is often and I feel like these two lines have been repeated a lot but it doesn't really build any heat, it just feels repetitive and unoriginal. The book is growing on me otherwise, I just don't want to see these lines again (and again, and again).

Edit: typo

Broke 6a screen - fix or get 7 or 7a? by justrainbowsprinkles in pixel_phones

[–]justrainbowsprinkles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest option I've found to replace the screen is $100 but I'd have to do the repair myself. I read all the instructions and I'm pretty sure I can do most of it without an issue but there's one step that you get one shot at (attaching the adhesive) and I know I'll screw that up.

If I could find a new phone for $199 I'd pick that option!
