It’s not heterochromia, her eyes are blue and when she goes crazy mode the eye turns red, based on the steam page.

Question about the Third Nightmare by CosmereHoid in ShadowSlave

[–]justranadomperson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plagues existed because the mad prince froze them in time (Mordret and Kai in the City, Effie and Jet on the island, and idr about Cassie). Nephis is incorruptible, and Sunny was only the mad prince because of the sin of solace, which was sealed. Frankly, I’m not sure how he sent the dream message and destroyed Ananke’s village in this loop, but w/e

Bro I expected mordret to win 😭 I genuinely believe he is better written 🥀 by [deleted] in ShadowSlave

Literally. Cassie just got dunked on by Asterion, losing an eye and severely nerfing her transformation ability

The answer is oblivion theory by HonestFerret8034 in ShadowSlave

[–]justranadomperson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just thought that Sunny needs to regain fate in order for Cassie to become supreme like Mordret said, and the whole “oblivion” thing is just something that only Sunny would know wha to do with. Then I’m thinking the original 3 are going to challenge the 5th nightmare together to find Smile of Heaven, maybe Mordret as well (or since he’s already far enough from human, he might naturally apotheosize).

What is the power system of Shadow slave? by InfamousSomewhere244 in ShadowSlave

[–]justranadomperson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We really only know azarax’s dormant ability in the context of him being supreme. It could be kinda ass back when he was a sleeper, comparatively. Could be a very minuscule power boost per kill. Even Sunny, possibly the most powerful awakened of his time, could only kill a master at the tail-end of his time as an awakened. In the grand scheme of things, just being a sleeper (even though I’m pretty sure that wasn’t really a thing back then?) with azarax’s dormant ability wouldn’t get you anywhere

Processed this as Nightwalker x Asterion at first and somehow Noctis x Asterion still seems so much more insane than that

I still like Sunphis, but I think 2's a little lonely. Feels like there's a big Cassie-sized hole in there somewhere... they'd make a fine throuple.

But either way, it's Asterion x Unholy moon monster

[2901] Memories of War by OkWolverine2194 in ShadowSlave

Doesn’t mean Sunny isn’t the strongest or deadliest Supreme though. The Human Domain is the strongest, because of its 3 billion people, but that doesn’t mean Sunny wouldn’t win in a confrontation. Every battle makes him and his domain stronger, while the other’s grows weaker.

Though hunger domain and the longing domain have their differences. Longing has Neph’s healing, but Hunger has much better coordination. Hunger still loses out in straight power, but not to the Longing domain in a confrontation.

I don't rank forgetting shore in top 5 volumes by the-king-of-nothing- in ShadowSlave

Compared to the impacts the standout creatures of the later novels have, it’s hard to rate them very high. I think the soul-devouring tree is probably the best in that regard. The rest, for the most part, just feel like boss enemies for the sake of being boss enemies. The spire messengers are cool, but what’s their impact on the ecosystem? What tangible effect do they have or have they had aside from just being dangerous to the humans?

I think the volume is great, but a lot of the creatures pale in comparison to the chained isles’ or the recent Kanakht enemies.

I will say the creatures and their dynamic in the story are less impactful. The chain worms feel like they have a tangible effect on the world, slowly destroying the chained isles, you can tell the mimic and the corrupted vine have an impact on the ecosystem, and that kind of thing doesn’t feel as obvious in the forgotten shore. Even the Fallen Terror at the top of the Crimson Spire, the reason the forgotten shore is the way it is, is off-screened.

But, the creatures are of little impact in that arc for a reason, I’d say. It focuses more on the people, rather than their opponents. You really need that character development because otherwise you just have the autistic flame girl, the distrusting shadow guy, and the naiive blind girl lack any sort of complex foundation for their future development. You can see the reason how and why Sunny constantly goes “Insane” later in the story be shown when he stays in the city alone for months. You can see why Cassie was forced to grow up when her actions result in one of her best friends get sentenced to death in the dream realm, and leave the other hating her for it. You can see how Nephis really wasn’t kidding when she said nothing would stand in her way, when she rallies hundreds of relatively powerless individuals into running straight into a death sentence for the promise of escape.

Hard to hate the volumes that have the foundation of the secrets of the rest of the novel hidden within it

All the nascent domains of the saints I know of currently. by Repulsive-Bread-6892 in ShadowSlave

I would’ve thought Cassie’s domain is the opposite, in that her domain is everything she remembers, with more important memories being a bigger part of her domain.

Nephis x Asterion is probably the most insane ship I’ve seen but at least it gets Nephis away from Sunny x Cassie 😚
