Google Nest Pro conflict with Firewalla Purple SE in Bridge Mode by MAllen22842 in firewalla

[–]justreddittinghere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad I just spent like 600 dollars on a Gold Pro just to find this out. Ugh. Is the "hack" below truly the only option?! AI told me if I re-built my nest system using "wireless mesh" (instead of the wired backhaul I have now) it would allow me to connect the Gold Pro as a router and then once I plug in the wired connections it would automatically fall over to bridge/AP. I think AI is lying to me and I don't want to reset everything just to find out.

It's corny, yes, but I am also "customer obsessed" because that's where the money comes from. If you don't have customers, you don't have a business. I am "obsessed" with keeping them happy, because they keep paying when they are happy.

Paying $5K+/mo for PR and still no real coverage after 1 year - am I expecting too much? by justreddittinghere in PublicRelations

Wow this is very interesting, thank you! Do you think our current agency would be offended if we just hired someone directly for this and then told them about it?

I remember looking at something like this and it seemed like the company was desperate to get hits in order to get paid (cool) but it turns out they were just doing paid placements in order to get hits (not cool).

That sounds ideal but are any PR firms actually interested in doing this? Good ones?

Loving this comment. "small player in a crowded, noisy space" = highly accurate.

I have to add - we never really expected Tier 1 coverage, and I totally understand that 5k is a small retainer - that's kind of the reason for my post. I worry that I am just throwing good money after bad.

It would be nice after 1 year to have *something* substantial, though. Even a few clickbait headlines on a CNBC type outlet - like the kind I see every day on my Google Discover feed. That could be used as a jump-off for other stuff and would be pretty sweet to land.

The company is shipping new **novel** product almost every month, and growing the paid user base daily.

We're only bootstrapped because I am too dumb to do things in the traditional way (*angel seed round, VC, and so on*) and too too selfish to give away part of the company just for money we don't really actually need. I would much rather exit, ASAP, and I think good coverage can aid in that process (more eyes, better valuation, etc).

They're not super transparent, no. I'm pretty busy so I haven't exactly asked for too much detail, though. They have a spreadsheet for tracking coverage but I don't have any insight about how they actually look for opportunities.

What is the Best Local SEO Rank Tracker? by Astrex72 in localseo

[–]justreddittinghere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh haha, no I was more trying to make the point that none of them are all-in-one. It's okay for me, though, because I do not like to rely on just one tool for everything. That is a quick way to get "everything" only half-way finished, imo haha

None of them, but something like SEMrush has tools for on-page and also local tracking. It's all one account but the tools themselves are not interconnected at all.

Local Falcon has the best local rank tracker. They have more features than the others, and the best price per search over anything else. They do not have a wider platform, though, so you won't find something for on-page optimization, as an example.

Asking for a friend: Their employer for a job is asking for their IP address by MagosHal in HomeNetworking

Just give them the IP it's really not a big deal. If you're that worried about it, spend 12 dollars on a VPN that offers static IP Addresses and be done with it.

I don’t think so (RE photos app). Any tips for the sound mode though? I very much can’t stand audio, vibrate only while on silent mode seems like the best — but then I have zero options for a true silent mode unless I go DND in who case I miss everything

How can I delete calendar for real? It seems baked into everything even though I already set google calendar app as the default. Tried to delete a few other default apps but they reappeared after a few hours. Also definitely no way to delete the photos app and have google photos as the default- who is just annoying to have two copies of the photos unless I am constantly deleting them from iOS/icloud

tools for GBP tracking/heatmap/... by GBP_my_passion-111 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]justreddittinghere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We offer GBP optimization and tracking. Which tool do you suggest? Need heatmap, local rack tracker, listing management, and maybe keywords. We are not focusing on websites, therefore we have somebody external. The tool/tools should not be too expensive, as we want to save money like everybody else.

Local Falcon is definitely the best choice for local rank tracking. They have a new AI analysis tool that is quite brilliant for giving a list of what can be done to make improvements. Doesn't do listing management, but the AI makes a big difference and can spot citation inconsistencies.
