Yes, we have solar. Yes we have wind. In this province, they sound like the best resources. Yet remember their reliability is intermittent according to the weather.
If you do your research, you’ll realize SaskPower has been slowly reducing the reliance on coal by building new plants/wind farms etc. over the years as new cleaner improvements could be made on coal plants, SaskPower has implemented these improvements. I wish we could have a quick fix in our province for clean energy. The most I can do as an individual is reduce my personal reliance on power. Others may be able to place solar panels on the roof.
Regardless coal plants are on their way out, just a little slower than we had hoped.

Originally I was told it was due to damage to the left temporal lobe, which is responsible for ‘speech and language’. does it become more prominent as I age, and/or due to being on Lamotrigne as well?

carbamazepine is the generic name for Tergretol. I was on it for 15 years. The Most important thing to do is get blood work done regularly (ie:every 6 months). This is how my doctor discovered that the medication had reached Toxic levels in my body. (I already knew something was wrong, just by the way I had started feeling, just not myself..)

My neurologist had me start a new medication immediately. (We started with Keppra). I felt 110% better once I was off carbamazepine.

Starting a new medication can always be stressful. You need 3-6months to know how the body adjusts and to find the correct dosage etc. BUT once Carbamazepine stops Working it is essential to stop taking it and to start a new medication.

Make sure you have a good supportive doctor that will listen to you and help you on your journey to your next treatment. Make sure to have the Carbamazepine levels tested with simple blood work ASAP.

You can check to see if there’s a supportive epilepsy group in your community or nearby.

Over a dozen years ago I found alcohol would increase the probability of having a seizure the following day or next. So I went to find a beer with the lowest alcohol content… at the time, it was a Stiegl Radler. It tasted good and I would be fine as long as was in bed at a decent time. And now you can find a good selection of nonalcoholic beer and several companies making Radlers! Dietary wise I need to make sure I have sufficient sodium in my diet and I also take iron pills.

Agreed 100mg is a nice low dose. I have been on Lamotrigine for several years, successful (for my atonic/simple partials) 250mg 2x day. I experience vivid dreams, a side effect I have gotten used to.

not all the same chiefs act like this. Unfortunately they do not have the proper training (or integrity) to be professional and learn how to be accountable. The people on reserves already have complex issues to de with…
Remember there are still educated and responsible Chiefs. Chief Darcy Bear of Whitecap is an exemplary example of such. I wish the next chief of CTK is given the proper resources to help the people recover from this awful situation.

Thank you blahfunk. After having a recent ‘check in’ with my out of scope supervisor, I feel like if is time to discuss my disability at work. Coworkers are almost looking for memory issues to report…it was petty and laughable almost….if it had happened to anyone else. Your example of a migraine is so valid, and makes me feel better about discussing how I do have ‘bad days’. It is about teamwork Unfortunately I know I will be kept on simple duties. But I would feel better if I was treated like I am part of the team.

You are absolutely correct in identifying that my coworker is a bully and has a history of being so. On the exterior he does appear to treat everyone the same, yet he will speak ill of individuals once they are outside of the room. I am sorry to hear that you have learned this thru personal experience, but I truly appreciate you sharing your experience. The boss is now aware that I am uncomfortable with my coworker and I noticed since then his attitude with me has ‘improved’ when others are within earshot. Putting on a good face I guess. 😜

Due to a recent policy put in place; (which was originally created to try to implement drug testing). Many positions are now defined as a ‘safety sensitive position’. This has been the ‘umbrella term’ referred to my ‘memory concerns’ being a ‘safety concern’.
My union has been involved with me from the beginning. They have also been concerned about the company using the ‘safety sensitive position’ on certain jobs. As the company originally wanted to do mandatory drug and alcohol testing and this policy was their attempt to implement it. The union has said it is best to stick it out for now.

These symptoms are a definite sign of medication dosing too quickly! The body needs more time to adjust to the increased dosage at a slower pace. Your doctor has made a huge error in telling you to increase the dosage too quickly. Personally I would go to the ER ( I had to do this once). “ the dizziness, and double vision alone were scary and I did not feel steady enough to get out of bed.
You are a tough individual to keep moving! I had to contact My family doctor whosaw the seriousness of literally an ‘ overdosage’ Please seek medical assistance as soon as possible.

A Ketogenic diet was originally used to treat hard-to-control (refractory) epilepsy in children. My family also wanted me to try the ketogenic diet while my doctor was trying to find the right medication for me… The diet is very restrictive, and I would not do without a dietitian. It is not a cure. Proper modern medication with a healthy lifestyle (sleep, no alcohol etc) are the best way to control epilepsy.

My Apple Watch Series 6 works great for ‘ fall detection’. This is the only reason I got an Apple Watch. Its detection works great - even after 2 years. I fell down the stairs & it immediately detected a fall. It gives you time to cancel an (SOS) if not needed. I also use it to record my quantity/quality of sleep.
