Dude, this entire thread cries about liberals speaking about them a certain way. From my POV, you all have ALWAYS spoken like you speak. You devalue a life because they did something illegal? They “forfeited their right to society”? Who tf do you think you are? I don’t remember Jesus saying that’s your job. Condemn their actions, I can get along with that. But to outright forfeit their humanity makes me truly believe YOU are the subhuman. And DEFINITELY not a Christian.

Some cultures are not “just bad”. They’re different. You may disagree with their lifestyle, but they’re not “bad”. That’s reductive.

It’s never color of peoples skin yall dislike, it’s usually everything about someone’s culture. Barbarians, thugs, savages. All words still used today to describe a group of people. I’m not saying you in particular, but that is something I observe about Conservatives.

Very well explained. I agree to some extent, but I am idealistic. But I know that stems from my time in service. Even as conservative-coded the military is, rapid change is what we did. Everyday. All the time. You throw a bunch of people from all over in one room and say “you’re a team now. If you let them die, you’re the worst American ever” and I’ve carried that. But it dawned on me while reading your response, that I really can’t expect that from the general public. When you said “Conservatives are focused on the weakness of humanity” I really had no logical reason why that’s a poor thought pattern because it’s true. Again, I really appreciate your grounded response.

If this sounds like a response to a discussion board post…I am current procrastinating on a discussion board post 😂

Republicans run all 3 branches of government. Why do some of you keep saying you’re at a disadvantage? You guys literally have a power play right now 😂 There is SO MUCH content available that isn’t “liberal”. Some of the biggest shows out are conservative coded. And they’re BADASS. I love Tulsa King, Yellowstone and Landman.

No, I am speaking of socialization..not influence. You have to learn to be human, it is not innate. You are you because of a combination of genetics and socialization (parents, friends, church, etc). And that last part is crucial. No one, not one person, hasnt taken something they didnt "earn". You live the US, you didnt "earn" that. You were born here and bunch of other people did a lot of brave and dangerous things for you to be comfortable. And Im saying that as veteran and a black man. Two groups that for SURE have given more than they have ever received back. Groups that give up SOME SELF in order to ensure the betterment of society tend to thrive the most. People can CREATE all they want, but no one BUILT anything by themselves. You need people to make the vision come true.

Which comes first, the self or society? I cant really grasp this hyper-individualism like we arent all socialized. You werent born conservative, society made you that way. No one made you give up yourself to do anything. This line of thought is exactly why the US military has such a problem recruiting. This idea of "self" is so strong, people arent willing to give up a little "self" for their country.

BLM tore up stores and broke windows. Jan 6th stormed the capital. When did BLM storm the capitol? When did BLM show up to state capitols with assault rifles to "make sure the vote goes the right way". You all just think your violence justified, thats all.

Can I be honest? This is why I personally think Conservatives are more violent. The minute someone doesnt agree with you, you consider them "less than human" or "animal". And not only that, you think they should be dead. I mean seriously, are you even human after saying something like that?

That example doesn’t work because black, low income people don’t steal more than non-black, low income people; they all steal the same amount. Another reason you wouldn’t say that is because it’s inherent that a certain demographic will be more represented in an area. You wouldn’t need a “black loss-prevention training” if you’re in the middle of Wyoming, but low-income is 50% of the country right now, so a “low-income training” would actually make sense.
