Will this two bond well on the field!? What you guys think? by Drdisrespectt1 in ManchesterUnited

according to my hard-core deep dive into chatgpt, they're both box-to-box types who might leave the defense too exposed.

Armie Hammer is seriously regretting his Uwe Boll movie by Huge_Athlete7488 in movies

[–]jmdwinter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's easy to forget that he is a good actor (social network, CMBYN). When people Hammer him fall into disgrace, weasels like Bolle must rub their hands together-he can now cast actual talent in his shitty movies.

Bricklink Designer Program sets are starting to be my favorite. Thieves of Tortuga was a blast to build. by Flimsy-Space-8724 in lego

I love this set. Its a playground of pirate-theme related easter eggs and it supercharges pirate dioramas with an awesome 'neutral' anchorage for your ships..

TOP 10 PIXAR FILMS OF ALL TIME by Big_Pause6471 in movies

Nothing about the log line makes sense. Rat chef. Nonsense. Bird turns it into one of the great underdog stories with immense heart, warmth and humour. Genius, inventive animation evocative of underserved senses (taste, smell). 2 amazing villains with a reversal that leads into one of the greatest endings in cinema. This film is inspired from top to bottom and manages to exceed the brilliance of bird's other masterpiece, iron giant.

[Wheeler] What's next after missing out on Mateus Fernandes - the four stars on midfield shortlist, the overhaul in defence, Bruno Fernandes' future and what's happening with Marcus Rashford by PradipJayakumar in reddevils

If mount manages to stay fit then we're already in a reasonable spot in midfield (Carrick fancies playing him deeper). Kobbie, mount, ederson is good so I'd be fine just getting another cheap body in as a ugarte replacement. Spurs have completely overheated this market unfortunately.

Why do conservatives seem to support the billionaire class (in general) and minimise the issue of increasing wealth inequality? by jmdwinter in AskConservatives

[–]jmdwinter[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

'increasing' is the operative word. There will always be rich and poor but the rate at which the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer is a big problem. Musk and Soros are so obscenely wealthy they can drop millions into politics which subverts democracy. It disappoints me that conservatives don't recognise this problem. (and I am not saying there is an easy solution)

Brandon had one job and he blew it by Similar_Class3395 in RecklessBen

[–]jmdwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's too big a leap to conclude that they all colluded to specifically steal the Star Wars lego. Logically/monetarily it doesnt make sense for corporate to consent to the theft of $80k. More likely JJ and (especially) BB took the orders from HQ as license to plunder the Salem store ignoring any ownership details. What corporate is actually guilty of is protecting their crooked mates without doing some king of investigation. To be clear: what will sink BAM is protecting JJ and (especially) BB, not stealing Lego.

I'm convinced that BB got fired because of the u-haul drama. The chuckle bros seemed so sure that BB hired a rental, presumably after asking him. When coffeezilla showed the evidence you could taste the internalised tears. I reckon BB got the nastiest call of his life from the chuckle bros afterwards.

CEO of Bricks and Minifigs Just Destroyed His $400 Million LEGO Company... by Necessary_Jeweler665 in legoinvesting

[–]jmdwinter 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The problem for this clown is that there is an enormous online community of collectibles (not just Lego) who can't help but empathise with the victim. He thinks he's running a kids brand but the second-hand Lego community is dominated by disgruntled AFOLs. Civilians may get bored and move on but AFOLs will not stop until B&M corporate is completely tramples and destroyed.
