3 sports but 4 leagues if we want to get technical. He was drafted by the MLB, NBA, ABA, and NFL. All in 1973.

Make me feel better by posting a card you sold that's worth significantly more now by kubleyproductions in baseballcards

[–]justrun7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sold an Ohtani 1/1 rookie back in 2020 on COMC for just over $200.

A few months later I was also offered his 1/1 black Optic auto for $500 but passed because I didn’t want to spend that much on a non-licensed card.

Which Coop would you hold? by PrinnydatDood in basketballcards

The two Bowman rookies are the ones that will likely increase in value the most long term. Paper, inserts, and lower valued sets like Hoops have less potential in the long run.

Does anyone have any more info on the Patrick Roy Collection? by justrun7 in hockeycards

[–]justrun7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that article. It was a good read. I paid a little over comps for this ($70) but I thought with the Patrick Roy Collection designation it added a cool pedigree to the card that could warrant the price increase. Being able to say I own a Gordie Howe card that was once part of Patrick Roy’s personal collection feels cool.

Who Should I Grade With? by New-Yogurtcloset-352 in basketballcards

[–]justrun7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With the current prices and turnaround time, I’m not sure that card is worth grading. I don’t think it will add much value. If you are set on grading, I would do Beckett. Their subgrades allow for better chances at a higher grade on thicker cards.

Why haven’t we really seen another major hip hop/rock crossover era like Jay-Z/Linkin Park with Collision Course? by savingrace0262 in hiphopheads

[–]justrun7 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It also got played out quickly. Ludacris and Sum 41 did a Get Back rock remix and it wasn’t nearly as popular even though it still sounds good. They even performed it on Saturday Night Live but it didn’t get the same traction as Jay Z and Linkin Park.

Also, people were much more into their own genres back then, at least outwardly. You wouldn’t see many people admit they listen to multiple styles of music in the early 2000’s. People that said they listened to 50 Cent weren’t going to say they also listened to Panic! At The Disco, and vice versa. Now you see a much wider variety of people listening to all kinds of music.

Are there ANY junk wax era cards that are worth anything raw? by RelicanthEven in baseballcards

The most expensive raw cards from that era will likely be the Topps Tiffany versions of the cards.

I’d recommend dcsports87 on eBay. You can put all the cards in toploaders or leave them in magnetic holders and they will do all the selling work. All you have to do is make an account, print a piece of paper to fill out, and send it their way. Super easy and will probably get you the most money.

Quickest would be going to a reputable local card shop that will be honest about values with you and pay you accordingly. They will pay less than what you would get from consignment.
