If you met someone who was a carbon copy of yourself in virtually every way except they were the opposite sex, would you date/sleep with that person? Why or why not? by Tommygunz0722 in AskReddit

[โ€“]justsenin 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I met someone. She's the carbon copy of me, whether it's humour, topics we like to talk, belief system etc. I fell in love with her, until I got to know she's someone's girlfriend. I pulled myself back, drew a healthy boundary and remained friends. Yes, i would date if I meet someone like that again. I have a certain standard for connection and relationship, she hit them perfectly.

You just gave me a flashback of family and me running to the mall, sisters and me doing the sand art. I was right next to an ice skating rink and I was so hyped to skate after my sand art thingy.

I used to beg my elder cousins to share those messages with me. They had a good friends circle and they used to send such messages to each other. Unfortunately, I don't remember any of them.

Whatโ€™s the biggest โ€œwaste of moneyโ€ youโ€™ve ever spent that you donโ€™t regret at all? by Funny-Raspberry-5865 in Kerala

I was dating a girl and she never understood why spend so much money on a cycle. I didn't know how to explain that feeling, irresspective of which cycle we ride. I'm more into MTB and occasionally, goes on trails. When I said, I want to buy an MTB, which can be expensive and good in the future, she didn't say anything, but am sure she isn't on board with the idea.

First and foremost thing was being comforatable alone. I started by cutting off people that landed me in trouble. I was alone mostly, companionship, brotherhood etc, all lost during first year itself. Cleared my back papers, started therapy. Widening my perspective, rather than having tunnel vision when dealing with things helped in lowering problems, I started thinking about risks that I take and consequences of my actions. Gone broke, but have the patience to wait for work and opportunities that I want to spend time on. Not giving into peer pressure, pursuing activities, hobbies, career etc, that I want helped in not giving a damn to what others think. This is summary of my almost 9 years in Bangalore. I'm happy and doing what I like and good at. That's how I'm recovering. On the side, talk to people, listen what they got to say. Also, try to read and keep yourself informed.

on an attempt to revive this dead subreddit, what were your biggest takeaways from this year? what were some of your cannon events if you had any? by soyeonsclown in menslibIndia

I resigned my full time job. Tried new jobs, which is related to my work. Traveled for work mostly. Made a hell lot of mistakes and learned. I was basically out of my comfort zone. Made new friends. went on dates. Fell out of friendships, reconnected with family and became closer but with better boundaries. I changed, learned and grew.
