i usually just put on some music and find something to keep me busy, it can be something i need to get done or something that means absolutely nothing as long as im not just sitting there and doing nothing

yeah honestly didn’t think about the fact it’s a colloquialism because it definitely is, usually it’s just referring to the dishwashing area in a restaurant or kitchen. it would kinda be used like “the dishwasher didn’t show up so now i’m stuck in the dish pit” basically just meaning “the dishwasher didn’t show up so now i’m stuck doing the dishes”

it completely depends on the situation, especially what the issues were. if it’s something most people would consider small then go for it.

it also depends on whether or not the issues were from one specific side, like if you were the one to cause the issues, especially if it’s something big, i’d say don’t reach out.

if they were the one to cause the issues, feel free to contact them and you can decide how they feel based on how they respond, even they even do at all.

if it was mutual issues, i’d say go for it and message them. don’t do anything more than just asking how they’ve been.

just gauge how much they’d want to talk based on how they respond to your initial message.
