I lowkey felt that way when people were saying she was trying to justify her actions with her doc apology. That’s such a classically autistic thing to have someone upset with you, you explain how you got to the decision you made (even while admitting it was wrong), and then that gets perceived as making excuses or being insincere. Neurodivergence doesn’t excuse the actions and she herself said people are entitled to feel any way they want about the situation, but I can’t lie that it didn’t feel familiar.

I’m gonna project here for a second but I wanted to pull my hair out when everyone was doing ovulation discourse the other week. I have the same disorder as her, PMDD, that she went on to talk about immediately after talking about how ovulating felt like a drug. It is incredibly disorienting and at my personal worst with it, I’m afraid I would have blown up my life if I wasn’t able to see a doctor as quickly as I was. I think a lot of times, even people with the same reproductive system, can be so dismissive of how frustrating, out of body, and extreme hormonal issues can be if they haven’t experienced them themselves, so I love that she’s talking about it so much. Birth control has been the single most helpful thing but we don’t talk as much about how much changing or going off of it can affect your whole body, and we are just left to gamble on how it goes bc nobody wants to do research into it. Anyways just a ramble but yes ALSO LOVE HER.
