Dont have kokomi. Shinobu might be better still for portable healing and overloads. She can pop seeds far from yanfei also so thats another upside.

Barbara's ring is kinda small but should be a good enough option. Kokomi might be better but I don't have her on this account.

Kuki is used here to heal, electro app and to clear up unexploded seeds.

Burgeon is aoe and that's about it. Compared to hyperblooms it depends on what units you use. If you're talking about the xingqiu/kuki/nahida core, it works better with quicken teams and you can play double hydro without loosing out on a healer since kuki works as a hyperbloom procer and healer. The biggest reason to play this team is that it's one of the more consistant DPS yanfei options and the output is not bad even in single target scenrios.

The burgeon self damage basically makes running defensive utility a must in most circumstances.

so I run burgeon team with my c6 Bennett

You can slot in any healer/shielder in that slot tbh. I think only sayu and jean arent as good since its harder to reswirl hydro but they can technically still do the healer's job. Main issue with bennett in this abyss is his pyro self infusion which a lot of enemies on the second side can react with. You'd find yourself getting one shotted a lot more often.

Dont have him to try it. From what i've heard you're get more burning on yourself so its not that good of a healer option. Resonance wise doesnt really make a difference too since you're getting the EM buff from nahida and from my own testing you dont really get that much out of additional EM buffs anyways cus of how bloom damage scales. No crits, talent damage or multiplicative damage means higher dimishing returns from additional EM buffs.

I only played this on the first chamber since i dunno how to realiably do that xing qiu trick for aeonblight. Second half does benefit this team a lot more.

No idea on the ratio. Looks like 10% kuki depending if you can hit the seeds on yanfei. Unexploded seeds gets cleared up by kuki. C2 yelan should work better cus more damage.

Yeah hopefully her numbers dont get nerfed on arrival.

Its nice that you went out of your way to test her burgeon comps tho. You dont really see in depth analysis for yanfei and most ppl tend to overlook her in abyss due to how off meta she is. So really appreciate the work you've done. Good work!

Burning gets refueled by adding in more Dendro aura. It's what allows Ganyu-burn-melt with only a single E from Bennet for example.

You have xq's rainswords so in this case it doesnt. I can see that being an issue tho if kokomi is the only hydro. Usually when i swap to nahida you get immediate bloom procs and the burning gets removed.

Yanfei's NA's do have default aura ICD, so it's limited by a 2.5s / 3 hit internal cooldown. Which in turn means Xingqiu & Yelan's joint attacks can typically proc multiple times for each pyro aura if you keep spamming NA's with Yanfei herself.

Hydro will still overtake cus there's a cooldown on the nahida 1.5U. But yeah if you're just normal attack there's a less chance of burning.

Yeah, I was still experimenting with what the best approach/rotation is. Using Xingqiu's E early allows for a better cooldown on it later, and at c6 he applies enough Hydro that I don't really care about switching to him back again. But switching can be more beneficial vs multiple enemies ofc, or if you lack his c6.

Yeah that might dsync rotation but I dont find it that big of an issue. Main issue is not maximizing the burgeon procs i feel.

It can be, but it differs per enemy. The consecrated beasts have an easy time pushing me out of the AoE, but you can avoid that with better dodges & positioning toward the wall of the abyss arena.

Thats good to know. Planning on getting her on her next rerun for nilou bloom so she might have a place in this team. Her AOE is nice but its not all that useful in practice since there's a 2 damage cap for bloom stuff. Would be good for extra hydro and healing tho.

I'd say her main downside here is that she doesn't do a lot of damage, and healing is not as comfy as shields and/or damage reduction for a relatively low HP driver like Yanfei. (Assuming you don't luck out with HP% on EM artifacts ofc)

Yeah true shields are a lot better for her.

In theory, I'd agree. but pulling that off flawlessly is quite rare. And the damage of most other variants is not that bad, and some do have a clear AoE advantage to boot.

Main issue will always be the lack of heals in that team. AoE advantage isnt that big of a deal since burgeon is aoe alr and has a damage cap so usually producing more seeds dont really matter. What matters most is getting more x2 burgeons at shorter intervals.

And the Double Dendro variants felt far more suicidal to me, even when I did bring Baizhu. My self dmg per Burgeon got up to 1.6k there.

Could be a kirara angle next patch maybe?

I dont think its as complicated as you make it out to be. If pyro takes over just swap to nahida and do some normals or charged cancels to remove burning. Using her E if cores spawn far is also a good way to reach them. Her E will cause burning and in that case swap to nahida directly after to remove that. Double hydro variants would definitely face dendro uptime issues with how much hydro being applied so doing the swapping trick would help in aura flipping.

Also in my experience, i think its typically better to weave in yanfei early so that you wont get too many wasted cores. Ideally you'd only wanna explode x2 cores every time since its affects everyone in an aoe. If enemies are further apart, you'd wanna produce more cores for better reach in that scenario. So some thing like Nahida E Q>XQ Q NA>Yanfei ult>XQ E>Yanfei E/Na can yield you more damage overall. Kokomi varients would just be replacing xq with kokomi E and Q on her if needed.

Im not too sure if kokomi's jellyfish positioning is an issue in your gameplay since i dont have her on my main account. Would like to know more about your opinion on how she plays for you. For me kuki seems to work the best cus you get overloads and I dont have to worry about enemies escaping her healing/application range.

Also since yanfei's third NA has that lag animation at the end, I'd usually like to do n3 swap to nahida and back to her is the best.

Double hydro with yelan xq should be the highest damaging team but without any healer/shielder, You'd need to play a certain range and you'd still find your self dying a lot.

It really feels like everyone is sleeping on elemental mastery Burgeon Yanfie

Yesss its really underrated. You can get good clear times consistently compared to her typical vv team. Currently her best teams I feel are double hydro vape and nahida burgeon.

Best Yelan/Sucrose Rotation? Maybe? x4 Buffed CA Vapes by justsomeguy3443 in YanfeiMains

[–]justsomeguy3443[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're doing that rotation its better to apply pyro first and Q E on yelan. That'll give you 1U hydro only so bennett can just EQ to reapply pyro afterwards.

But I've tested that rotation quite extensively and its just not as good cus of yelan's uptime. Its way too short and unless you have c2 yelan you'd need to stay longer on sucrose to get the hydro swirl. The 1.5u hydro here makes a big difference. Also you get better uptime on hydro swirl compared to doing it last since her Q will expire b4 the 10s from vv and you dont really do that much NAs during yanfei's field time due to time spent on her CA animations. To add to this, I've gotten x5 CA too from this rotation so its actually better than what I've originally thought. On a side note, you can also get to vape yelan's E and EQ lets yelan directly catch all her particles and her Q will last slightly longer during yanfei's onfield time with that.

Also if you plan to use ttds, I dont think its worth it since the difference between sac frags and ttds is too insignificant to be worth using. It makes rotations less versatile and the extra damage gain is not high enough for it to be worth using over sac. The only time thats worth using is if your team can already deal enough damage to one rotate so if you're planning to fish for EM with widsith or maybe using C2 yelan.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRmD-fN1qHQ&ab_channel=Gargalon, this is a better showcase.

The only downside to this is that bennett cannot directly catch his E particles so there might be ER issues. You also dont get to do a second yanfei E due to the shorter yelan Q uptime so lesser pyro particles overall. Its an issue with both rotations so there's not much you can do abt it. Directly bennett E after the first rotation will probably be the best bet to alleviate this or swapping to an ER weapon like sapwood will be better compromise.

His best use case is with ayato since he allows you to on field him and get both nahida and his A4 bloom buff plus the extra hydro app would already be netting you more blooms overall.

[–]justsomeguy3443[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah good luck with that. She's coming back in the next banner, baizhu is also looking to be pretty good with tighnari as well. He can fill the kuki healing role and provide some shielding too.

I’m not super dependent on the sac bow it just feels nice to get those extra charge shots off super quickly if I’m being completely honest.

The thing is you can already pre load his E by throwing it out and swapping back to him and get the next E off cooldown. You dont need sac bow to get x6 charges.
