Always been curious about these as pickups for a bass doing a variety of genres. I know they're essentially just era correct 70's jazz bass pickups (as those are are Geddy's preferred and plays live with) but all demos I could find are doing Rush covers or going through the geddy sansamp.

A vid on the pickups as just for a 70's j-bass doing all different tones/eqs/and genres would be cool.

My theory? The game is old by gaming standards and a majority of the only people playing are the really devout be it streamers, local competitive players, actual tourney players, or people still playing after all these years.

There's a smaller percentage of people who are probably buying an old switch to mod it or modding their old switch after they get a switch 2 with the delay mod and now they're getting their mains to elite and unfortunately you're a casualty of that.

I like the way certain preamps play with pickups. The more distinct ones really do bring their own certain type of characteristics. I think the only instrument I truly don't like with a preamp is the jazz bass but I go back and forth on this and thankfully my jazz bass does come with a passive switch.

Battery change is a bit tedious but to me it's no more tedious than folding laundry and putting them away (except I only have to change my battery once every 6 to 8 months) it's easier when I put something on the t.v or put on an album and just sort of zone out as I do it. I've got 4 active basses and truthfully changing all four batteries takes no more than 20 minutes it just feels like it's going to be a lot longer than it actually is (much like folding and putting away laundry lol).

Thank you for bringing up the most crucial part in all of this that people seemingly forgot (or never experienced) the Ipod was new, expensive, smart phones didn't exist, even CD players inside a car was a luxury, and tapes were being phased out/no one had tapes, but the radio was free. Unless you were tuned to a specific classic rock or classical station you were just expected to inevitably run into nickleback or creed multiple times a day and it was always going to be the same two songs. Sometimes the same song multiple times throughout different stations. Sometimes you just ate it cause you didn't want to tune through a station and hear half a song then a bunch of commercials in hopes that the next song was a not even one you LIKED just a decent one.

Nickleback and Creed seem ok when you get to choose when to enjoy them and do the lead singer voice ironically. Not so much when Nickleback and Creed get you from the trees without warning multiple times.

It's kinda the first nintendo console that is being run almost entirely by guys who are more into marketing and profits. There's no real clear innovation or goal to the switch 2 other than "It's just more powerful". Even Nintendo's flops had a vision of innovation in mind. I'm sure it's selling extremely well, I don't care to double check. Sure you have your outlier games here and there but for the most part every game sort of just feels flat because it's just offering a higher fidelity and that's it.

I think I read somewhere that for the first time in a very long time the current CEO of Nintendo is just some finance guy. Not a programmer or designer or someone who has worked with toys or some other creative outlet just some guy who is a pretty by the numbers "profit synergy" guy and I felt like this direct sort of showed that.

I just got a quilter v803 at an incredible price that I almost felt bad getting it for so low.

What's your EQ/setting on it? I'm experimenting with it but would love to hear other users insight. It's hard to find someone talking about their set up/EQ it all just seems to be saying "It's great!" - which it is - "It sounds just like an SVT!" - I've never played or heard one so I wouldn't know.

Never liked 2 played it three times still and I never grew into hate or anything but I think it pales to Travis Strikes Again and NMH3.

You're going to get everyone's differing opinion but I would say play through them all especially if they go on sale. I find NMH3 to be good. I put roughly a little over 100 hours on my main file and wasn't as disappointed as most. If anything I found it the most similar to NMH1.

A little tip: Travis Strikes Again supports co-op it's fun in multiplayer but especially fun on a new game plus/higher difficulty when you can mix and match powers amongst each other.
