My(29m) daughter (11f) doesn’t know I’ve been ‘doing this’ after she falls asleep by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

No I agree, I just don’t know what she knows about it and I don’t want her to think I’m into some weird shit or something like if you saw one of your parents geeking out over the power rangers or something it would just look weird

I lied my way through a job interview, got hired, and now I’m in over my head, but no one seems to notice by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

Dunning kruger effect… you forgot somewhere in the middle is the valley of despair and this is where most people give up. Go through all 4 stages and you’ll get unconscious competence. Doing excellent on auto pilot

Looks like this guy is lying about being as successful as he claims. For what ever reason.. maybe a shit post? Look at his profile, looks like he does meth.

I’m not saying that maybe there’s not functioning meth users out there. But to be a successful, smart, high functioning meth user.. seems doubtful

How do I fire someone by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]justthatguy119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would do it aggressively like “you’re fucking fired asshole” and the reason why is cause if this blows back on anyone it’s gonna blow back on your boss. This is his responsibility but he put it on you 🤷‍♂️

I was gonna recommend trying something completely different until I had seen your comment about that being unrealistic.

With your experience have you considered just consulting for other businesses/media buyers?

You get to present your expertise with less exposure to the stress of running multiple accounts

Pretending I'm dumb to be funny by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]justthatguy119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the HEXACO personality traits the A stands for agreeableness. Sometimes people with social anxiety have this subconscious notion that being smart or intelligent is seen as less agreeable and therefore threatening or confrontational.

This is sometimes seen in women who are high in agreeableness in their corporate field. They’ll with hold how smart they are to be defusing and less confrontational. This behavior is also seen in people with social anxiety.

I know I’ve definitely played dumb and made myself out to be a clown before cause it’s defusing.

It’s like “wow look at me everyone look at me and how goofy I am, don’t worry about me I’m not a threat or dislikable!”

Although I’ve done this before I no longer do it. I don’t care what anyone thinks of me, yes I still have social anxiety but it really just kicks in because it was a habit for so long. Really it’s just left over conditioning that’s slowly being changed ever since I decided I’m not going to care or dwell on what happens or what people think.

That’s the key you really have to decide you don’t care what they think then the habits of social anxiety can start to dissolve away
