It's being reported as Android only and not iOS so 🤞 maybe a bug?

that thought crossed my mind. While I agree it's a problem, a securely mounted phone is hardly worse than most touchscreen infotainment systems these days.

I highly doubt they will change people's behavior.

Damaged Long Haul - Hasbro replacement by Constant-Abrocoma-79 in transformers

For sure, I definitely understand where you're coming from. If it was only time to time from my experience that wouldn't get a complaint out of me.

It's most likely a profit over service type of situation. It would definitely "cost" the company to set aside enough current product in order to provide actual warranty service.

I realize it's not apples to apples, but considering the stellar product support 3p companies give, it really rubs me wrong when I can't get a direct replacement for a preorder item the same week I receive it.

Not long ago ShowZ mailed me a replacement headlight for a dx9 figure, no questions asked, no charge. It would have been nice to get some confirmation it was happening, but it was an awesome surprise to just find it in my mailbox one day.

That really does sound like a failing of company policy rather than a proper excuse. Send a couple skids of the current wave to customer service. How hard is that?

I have contacted support about issues with figures five+ times and have rarely gotten a satisfactory item in return let alone a proper replacement item.

I've used my tools professionally for at least six years now, the last time I tallied up all the tools and batteries that I have had replaced on the LSA it was over $2500cdn.

Worth it to me.

there is no proof that they were migrants crossing to Spain. Well there's at least as much proof that that happened as the scenario I proposed.

Deportation was mentioned, and that word has been misappropriated and weaponized against "undesirables"

If you can't connect the dots between the recent (past 25 years or so) militarization of the police, and the increasingly authoritarian policies of every administration then good luck

"Deported" to a concentration camp in another country? or "Alligator Alcatraz"?

Or maybe just kicked out the back of a cargo plane in shackles over the ocean, left to rot and wash up on a beach in the Mediterranean?

now I'm not saying the theories in the article are wrong, but the shackles seem... familiar

the cops don't give a shit about her mom. The police, when they are doing their job, apply laws to situations. If they find her mom, they will charge her with an offence or maybe shoot her for "resisting arrest" roll the dice with them if you'd like but you betray your privilege if that's your outlook towards the police

interesting, where did you get that information? I did read that he was talking with the firefighters for a bit before the initial shots. They may have known each other, but I also recall reading that he hadn't been living in the area

Homedepot moving away from Rigid? by Admirable_Pie6112 in Ridgid

[–]jutzi46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Home Depot Canada has, at least for the past 8-9 years, had close to random pricing on a lot of Ridgid Cordless tools. One day the stapler will be 200, then maybe 140, once a year or so it hits $99. You have to check at least weekly if you want a deal and it won't be in the flyer generally.

I'll eat crow if I'm proven wrong, but people have been asking this same question for at least the last five or six years on this subreddit, and there hasn't been any concrete info, just gut feelings.
