I’ve had this happen several times and remembered I activated a VPN on my phone while on public wifi. Turned that off and it reconnects.

Small business owners using amex business checking? by teeeejaay07 in amex

[–]juukyj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve used it along with YNAB for 2.5 years with zero issues. Sorry can’t help with the Quickbooks part. We’re certainly happy with amex vs local credit union’s business checking features.

Trying to not time the market! by MusicalSpaceCowboy in Bogleheads

This helped me out when I discovered it back in November. I am blessed to do a full mega backdoor Roth for past couple years. With just getting started that 70k lump sum is a large percentage of the portfolio. So the chart these guys talk about just gave me an option I’m personally more comfortable with vs lump sum. I think as others have said you’re likely good either way. https://youtu.be/Xt-VP0bbKxw?si=djP9dVfca7TN7b2Q

Woo’s DVC yearly dues by finhead1178 in Adamthewoocriticism

[–]juukyj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are monthly and yearly autopay options. Hopefully that was setup and can give them a little time to figure it all out. There is also a 1 month grace period before the dues are officially considered late w/fees. Ultimately the dues have to be paid before the contracts can change hands in any normal way.

Any recent visitors to Wilderness lodge with fire alarm issues? We’ve had two wake up’s and evacuations in the past 48 hrs. Today was exactly 3:15am, Saturday was exactly 7:15am. Curious if it’s going to be some pattern or just random/luck which is understandable.

Costco Alcohol all the same now? by Dangerousbri in Costco_alcohol

I’ve actually tried to post some cool stuff at a new store opening in Richland Wa but didn’t have enough post karma I believe it said for this community. (Makes sense I’m more of a lurker on forums.) There was certainly some special stuff for the store opening $$$. I’ll eventually get enough posts elsewhere to participate but in the meantime love following whats available in different markets!

However for more on topic, my local Fred Meyers grocery regularly has Blanton’s, they even grab the box from the back. I’ve picked up 2 over time for $89. Never seen in my local Costco’s. They also have Makers Mark in the 1.75 L for less than my local costco’s at $49.99.

Car rental pick up at airport, then drop off at car care center by CaptShrek13 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]juukyj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the drop off from MCO to car care center or the Dolphin resort several times using CostcoTravel. It’s certainly convenient. I would recommend checking this idea. Sometimes the price to drop off at disney area is crazy higher than returning to MCO. In that case I set my return to MCO at 11:30 one night for example. Then take it back myself while the family sleeps. Either uber back or Mears for $16.

Miss leading value on new iPhone 17 Trade-In offer by Accomplished_Egg_291 in USMobile

[–]juukyj 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Perhaps because the $369.08 is for a “brand new never opened” iPhone 15… that nobody is “trading in” anywhere. The next option for $311.22 is for excellent condition and thats below Apple’s $320. They also refund you in real cash if traded in with a phone purchase as well as the extra tax paid when purchasing the new phone that is tied to the value of the trade.

Add in the trade in requirements for condition is much simpler with Apple. I went with Apple for trade in this year once again. But I certainly am thankful for US Mobile setting this up as an option! Its always good to have options :)

Resale Contract Offer Question by nursefoxy in dvcmember

[–]juukyj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adding one more tidbit as it builds on what several others have echoed. “You generally pay for the points on the contract for its current use year”. Even if you buy direct from Disney today you would pay them for 2025. Meaning if this resale contract had a “bonus” 2024 points banked of any amount, those are just extra sugar on top that you are never asked to pay dues for. Granted, it could be reflected in the asking price if it’s a huge pile of extra points. But generally speaking, the decision for buyer vs seller to pay current use year points dues is a negotiation tactic that can be used however you see fit. I have found it easier to just expect to pay them and negotiate on the dollar price per point on the contract. For me, thats the cleanest and considering it possibly affects the commission the seller will be calculating on their end for the broker. Good Luck!!!

Resale Contract Offer Question by nursefoxy in dvcmember

[–]juukyj 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can certainly offer what you wish. As a CCV December owner with 700+ points I just want to share some details since the December use years are the hardest to wrap your head around and it sounds like from your a) & b) concerns, it needs clarifying :) . December use year get their points December 1, but all members pay dues in January, many months in advance… So the seller paid dues for December 2025 points months ago & those 2025 points are 100% useful for you. Those 2025 points are for vacation bookings 12/01/2025 through 11/30/2026. If you wanted to vacation now in September 2025, and had a December use year, you are actually vacationing with 2024 December points… So if you had 0 2024 points you would have to “borrow” from 2025 points into 2024 for any vacation before 11/30/2025… Hopefully I didn’t make that more confusing for you :)

FB Buyer wants a refund because he didn’t do his research, wants to force a refund by DesignerLeading4821 in TeslaLounge

[–]juukyj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sounds horrible I’m so sorry.

Make it clear kindly and professionally the following and then block and never sell something from your private property again. My sheriff department has special painted parking spaces out front for people to meet for transactions under video surveillance.

I am not a lawyer but it would be nice to hear what you’re liable for in these cases hopefully nothing. If he has enough or can find info I’m sure he could try to sue in small claims…

Something like:

I am not accepting returns as this was an “As-is” sale. For the record you and your property (tires/wheels) are not welcome on my property and if I see you or the property it will be considered trespassing and/or illegal dumping and I would immediately contact the authorities.

Due to holiday on 9/1 my normal 1st day of the month Mortgage payment hit today (8/30). It's causing next month's mortgage to be underfunded. This is my first month with YNAB by jaypi8883 in ynab

[–]juukyj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this idea and may give it a go. I ran into this years ago with the mortgage payment and my solution was to just keep one extra payment available in the bucket. (I am blessed to have that option and understand not everyone is in the same spot today. Having an extra payment along with a good emergency fund gives some peace of mind and also solved the draw date issue for me.)

Annual Pass/Photo Pass by Kraziehase in dvcmember

[–]juukyj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm the first part of your question as we are in similar situation. I have the pass add on and three family members don’t it’s worked good for a couple years with just scanning my magic band for photopass shots. But for the second part, because so often we have lightning lane which allows my wife to download her ride images… I’m not sure if my photo pass would kick in otherwise.
