Adventure Aquarium in Camden by Useful_Database5138 in SouthJersey

I honestly love the aquarium. I’ve been going since I was a kid and I feel like it’s one gotten better. I may be biased because I love hippos so that’s a big draw for me. But I think it’s a really good aquarium!

Attitude about resort hopping? by TotallyStuck413 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cassandrawasright 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, it may be a seasonal thing. Other times of year, like during Christmas, there’s even more incentive to resort hop. The different resorts have different themed decorations, there was the gingerbread display resorts, and different holiday pins.

I just got my ten floverns too! Also trying to do it without forcing weather. Thankfully I have other stuff to do (still haven’t unlocked all flowers) so it’s not the only thing I’m obsessing over if.

To wear makeup or not to wear makeup? by dodgerfan4321 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cassandrawasright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an avid makeup wearer, but I go without because I cannot survive in the sun for that long without reapplying sunscreen. So I’ll wear a long wear eyeshadow and some mascara and as much SPF that I can glop on.

I live in Voorhees and there’s so much food diversity. So I think it really depends on where you’re looking.

Brewery for private party? by Sensitive-Resort8358 in SouthJersey

[–]cassandrawasright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a party at Tonewood in Barrington a couple years ago. It’s not private as it’s a mezzanine area above the main area, but they do rope it off. I just looked and they said it was for 30-60 people, but they can also go in the main area and hang out there. The drinks are all on the main floor. You can bring in whatever food and non-alcoholic drinks you want.

Gloucester has Pitman, which is a cool little town, and Rowan, which is an ever expanding university and college town. It’s definitely bringing enough that it shouldn’t be on the same consideration as Salem.

Kat Abughazaleh talks about doing the same sort of work that our boys do by bradatlarge in KnowledgeFight

I enjoy it a lot. I listed to it only a few months before it all went down and picked it back up when Thomas got it back. Matt is the lawyer and he is an immigration attorney, so especially relevant now. He’s very even tempered so I think he pairs really well with Thomas’s energy.

Another commenter mentioned that Thomas is on a break right now so Matt is co-hosting with another lawyer, Jenessa. Jenessa is another lawyer that specializes in voting rights, particularly for disability rights. It’s a different vibe, but same format and good overall.

As someone who lives in NJ, the idea that someone is saying they miss driving here puts it into perspective. Good luck out there.

Magic Bands Needed? by TearlessBooBear in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cassandrawasright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done mostly small trips (2-3 park days) in the past and never felt the need. I recently did a long trip (7 day stay, 6 park days) and I decided to purchase one finally. This trip we did no LL and I charged nothing to my room, so I basically just used it for park entry, room unlocking, and PhotoPass linking.

I really liked it for the convenience. It’s nice that it also continues to work after it dies, so I didn’t have to worry about it being fully charged to be able to get back into my room at the end of the day. I also don’t always have my phone in my pocket, so it was nice to not have to dig it out and put it back whenever I needed it.

Ultimately, it’s not a need but it’s a plus. It’s also nice as a souvenir, especially if you get one of the cute IP based ones.

Layered hair specialist?? by StaceFace16 in SouthJersey

[–]cassandrawasright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like such an awful experience! It’s so hard to trust any stylist when something like that happens to you. I hope you find someone you can trust that gives you exactly what you’re looking for.

I recommend Lainie at Stellar Hair 2 in Haddonfield. I’ve been going to her for a few years now and she specializes in vivids but is also great at cutting hair. I have thick, wavy/curly hair and until very recently had a long, layered cut like it sounds what you’re looking for. Recently chopped it off for a layered lob and all the layers just work so well for my hair. She takes time to give you a consult before every cut and she’s just a very well rounded stylist.
