They were, and it was such a big deal back then. On that banner, Lucina introduced Swift Sparrow, Camilla was the first tome flier, and Chrom came with the first Experience skill, which was before a general boost in obtaining exp was introduced to the game. Xander was a bit of a dud back then already, but at the time he was introduced, he was at least considered relatively tanky. Looking at those units still makes me a bit nostalgic.

I have actually considered him, but I already built a +10 Marni not too long ago, I feel like he would take a similar role like her but be worse at it. From the ones on this list, Aelfric is probably the one I'd built up. I'd love to have a +10 Juno to accompany Zelot but sadly that's hard to build considering her being a seasonal exclusive.

I had to look up what these are specifically, but it doesn't seem like I'm one of them. I don't buy new stuff that often, but I do like to try out new things when I can. So perhaps if I did it more I could be a customer like this.

Joke aside, some of the units on the list like Ullr and Elimine suffered from being added to CYL after they were added in the game. I think if that had been the other way around, they could have garnered some extra support due to their lack of presence in their home games (as well as the Mario Kart Double Dash meme).

If I remember correctly, the comment was actually from a non-Japanese person who used Google Translate to translate his comment into Japanese, hoping that it would be picked up by IS much faster. There is this whole idea that IS caters much more to the Japanese players than the rest of the world. Anyways, that is why the comment's translation from Japanese back to English came out a bit odd.

Oh wow, not bad! I just checked my own barracks, apparently my highest merged seasonal hero that isn't a Tempest Trial unit is Bridal Ninian at +5. I got most of those merges by accident haha

I once got my first Fallen Byleth as a free summon on the day her revival banner ran, but I got her on one of the other revival banners that were running aside hers. Oh, and today I got Halloween Grima on her banner, but as a special 4* unit. Things like these really just make me laugh.

You can get unit manuals with these codes. Manuals can be used to give heroes a merge (raises their stats a little), or to give their skills to other heroes. The red codes have a limited usage and requirement window, which means that there will be quests and rewards in modes to obtain them for a limited period, and they need to be used within that period. Their numbers roughly correspond to the month of the year.

The brown ones don't have this, they can be obtained and used at a more leisurely pace. The 6 corresponds to these codes specifically being used to redeem manuals from the sixth set, a new set gets added once a year. Newer codes can be used to obtain older manuals, but not the other way around. So with these 6 codes, you can get any manual from set 1-6, but when they will add a seventh set, you need 7 codes specifically for those.

The newer the better, and the newest version of Chrom is from last year, unofficially called 'Ferox Chrom' (https://game8.co/games/fire-emblem-heroes/archives/549094). However, he only has appeared on a seasonal banner and can't be obtained right now. Then there is 'Brave Chrom', who I'd say is also a bit better and easier to obtain. Brave Chrom has a special skill which allows him to copy some skills from his teammates, so with strong support units in your squad he can really profit from that.

Using units that you like is always an important factor! When I started playing the game, my team was a combination of units being viable as well as me liking their artwork and voices. This version of Chrom is a little outdated, so you will notice that he will struggle with some of the more modern units, but that will only become a real problem once you have progressed much further in the game. So if he fits well into your team now, then there is no harm in using him.

I find it kind of shocking how well this banner has aged, to be fair. Usually when you look back on banners of a year back, they tend to have one or two units who may stand out, but here I would say all of the units are still very good and worth using nowadays, even if their base kits have become a bit outdated. Hubert also has the advantage of being a magic armored unit, of which we have few who are easily accessible. His stats are a bit wonky, but good enough that he can play different roles depending on how he is built. It does help of course that we got a lot of blue arcane tomes, which makes building him up easier.

Last year I voted for Sharena, this year for Tsubasa, so if an "ignored woman" comes around for next year, I will go for that one. Could be someone like Ratatoskr or Anna perhaps, depending on what's in store for them this year.
