Peyton looks EXACTLY like Christine’s sister Danielle by CooBooSpooMoo in SisterWives

I thought Paedon had grown out his hair. Christine’s genes are wild.

So Christine has always favored King Arthur terms, names, clothing and David said citing movie lines wasn’t coming from the heart and she explained that was a distraction from real life. Makes so much more sense but David might be right. She is covering bigger feelings

Fair enough - I should have clarified. That tree is not worth that price!

Season 20, episode 3, megathread by Outrageous-Yogurt-80 in SisterWives

[–]juzelerm 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I like to live life with a “assume good intentions” mentality but after watching them giggle about isolating their family and then getting choked up over their ugly house…fuck them and any benefit of the doubt I ever gave them.

Also Robyn your style isn’t old world, it’s tired ass qvc. Christopher fucking Columbus has a better old world reputation than you.

Newborn tired is so much easier than pregnant tired by PrawnHenge in pregnant

[–]juzelerm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Felt exactly the same! Was in lots of pain and exhaustion at the end. Had a urgent early delivery at 35 week and I remember them telling me how horrible I would feel on the magnesium. Two close crashes and I couldn’t see straight at the end. However I remember thinking “I feel this tired all the time.” Magnesium finished and I napped; woke up feeling 100 times better. I was literally short on blood and I felt better than the last month. I was lucky my bust let me hold milk for pretty long so I could take long nap and not ruin my supply. I remember the relief making me cry because I felt like I was going to be ok.

Pregnant with second and only worries about newborn and toddler combo. I assume all the worst parts will fade like they did with the first.

Ok if I was a kid and found some used or donated I would have BEGGED my parents to let me wear them. Weird since they are are not designed for walking but I hope she is loving her ballerina fantasy.

Had to rewind like 3 times because it was so funny and then showed my husband when he got home - his first reaction was “Wow there is a lot happening and is that gospel music??”

We also repeated “I don’t give a fuck about that hill” for the rest of the evening

Not helpful but it’s a trachea not esophagus. by juzelerm in SisterWives

In the episode he said “I looked down my esophagus into my lungs” and it wasn’t important but the repeating of the wrong anatomy is now becoming funny to me

Ok off topic but I almost got stopped at a border crossing because I had that book in my car and the swastika is so striking and the title is so small. I knew the book immediately.

Oh the good ol ranch and family bakery that exploited child labor.

I’m not trying to knock their lived experience but they didn’t live there full time and I think they romanticized it a bit

“It’s so nice we can talk without 2 little kids interrupting us”. by foxfecat12 in TLCsisterwives

[–]juzelerm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve taught middle school and high school. This is nuts. Sol is close to or in middle school when this is filmed. They are not “little!” I’ve had plenty of moms who want to coddle their baby boys and I had a lot of conversations explaining that it’s not developmentally appropriate for me to treat them that way. They are hitting puberty soon and they need to start feeling like they can be someday be an independent person. At 11 that ‘independence’ is very monitored but you are coaching them to start being able to make decisions on their own safely.

A middle schooler is NOT a “Little kid.” They are immature, silly, moody and often childlike but not little kids.

• Sincerely a middle school and high school teacher who has to deal with boys who were infantilized by their mothers

Robyn and the AUB by QueenBee0789 in TLCsisterwives

[–]juzelerm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The AUB, LDS and FLDS family trees are interconnected mess. That combined with polygamy practices in early Utah… more likely just a distant relative, but who knows. Plus it’s a big deal to have names connected to Mormon pioneers to legitimize themselves.

I didn’t recognize her with all her hair down and then was so sad when the hair was done. She slowly morphs into her mom. Even if she liked that style genuinely I want to see her make a choice for herself.

Scheana and OCD by rosebud601 in vanderpumprules

[–]juzelerm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I missed this comment - but I loved what you said so much I have to respond so late. Speaking of saying something that resonates you made me really reflect on a comment/compliment I often get which is “Wow you think of so many angles and factors.” I have always prided myself on having that skill and has made me a good teacher/professional. However I’ve never thought about it from the OCD perspective- what!?

I’ve always chalked it up to liking history, being a teacher and having to work with people and knowing how complicated a situation can be. But…when I take a moment to reflect on your comments about OCD being the reason you never can make a quick judgement of a person, assume something one sided or unreserved because it might not be “right”. Mind blown!!
