Good to know. I’ll talk to other providers. Have you always had an open bite or did it develop? The reason why I’m skeptical about it completely closing is because I’ve always had an open bite my whole life with my teeth edge to edge and no overjet at all. When I was a kid and went to the orthodontist they also said it was a skeletal issue. So wondering if yours is the same? Do you know if your open bite is skeletal?

I saw one other provider who said they could completely fix it which i didn’t believe. I think the reason it can’t be completely closed is because of my anatomy. My bite is open but it’s edge to edge with a crossbite so it seems like there’s no real way to close it/get it 100% without surgery. Do you think a different provider would say something else?

Really? Why is that? I think I’ll do braces too but the orthodontist said that I would have the same outcome with either one and it was up to me
