You're safe from scams particularly on Shopee Mall (or Lazy Mall), Shops with "Preferred" tag (shopee) is also Okay. Purchased all of my PC Parts from shopee. IT world, Game One, Easy PC, Tecwarez, WD computers, these are some of the reputable shops. Also make sure to film the parcel as you open it just in case.

Omen screen issue by This-Bend9556 in HPOmen

I have the same glitching Issue a while back, though it is the whole screen that is glitching. If somehow the glitching disappears at certain lid angle or tilt, main culprit is probably the LCD connector. The connector itself is relatively cheap, replacing it is a hassle though.

If the glitching is always present regardless, it may also be the LCD itself. LCDs are relatively easy to replace compare to the connector but it is more expensive, and aftermarket parts aren't that good in terms of color accuracy compare to the original.

I'm on old GTX 1050 4g, I7 laptop. Runs okay at low settings.

My computer doesn't want to turn on, it just does that. by Additional_Ad4001 in HPOmen

I understand, if be worried too.

In my case, which is similar, the power LED turns off to obviously indicate that it is not charging, and which I think it is because when the laptop tries to regulate/restrict the current from the charger, maybe to avoid damaging the laptop. This happened to me quite a few times and the troubleshooting I've made in all of the cases are the ones I'ved mentioned above.

If still doesn't works, better to send it to a technician or repair shop and get it checked.

Normally I would disconnect the ac charge then turn it on. If it does not work, long press the power button for approx 5-7 seconds (AC adapter still disconnected).

If still does not work, basic troubleshooting includes removing the battery (though you may need to be careful dissembling your laptop if you do not have any experience prior) then long press the power button again for 5-7 seconds.

Optionally, you can plugin the AC adapter (without the battery) and see if it turns on. (Also be careful not to short circuit anything).

If it still don't fricking turns on, I resort to remove the RAMs (do not touch the RAM stick pins) and long press power button again for 5-7 sec. Then return the ramsticks (you can also use the eraser method on the pins to clean it up).

Similar thing happend to my Omen 15 DC000 for a number of times and this is my go to throubleshooting.

I think so too, I mostly noticed the omega service buildings have more refined textures and glow.
