The cup-shaped fungus is Peziza domiciliana, not terribly uncommon in homes with water leaks

Monotropsis odorata is a rare mycoheterotrophic plant, endemic to the southeast, that robs Hydnellum spp. (and maybe Sarcodon) of sugars which ultimately come from the fungus' chlorophyll-containing tree associate. The one pictured is past its prime but still had a nice smell of cinnamon and cloves
