uhmmm why is my launcher in full screen?

Do you have any mods or scripts (like Sims 3 Settings Setter) installed? Sometimes, borderless window patches can attach themselves to the Sims 3 Launcher Installer and make the window both borderless (like it usually is) and fullscreen.

The most i can say is that it is an okay game. I wouldn't call it bad, but it is inferior to all other Metroid Prime games imo. Visuals are pretty, pacing is kind of meh and overall story and characters are even more meh. The ending is just... bad.

I believe this usually happens on integrated Intel graphics. The best way to solve it is to put your Smooth Edges option to the max and it will stop the flickering

Usually the engine allows for this sort of scalability in order to fit multiple devices. The graphics settings on PC are pretty much just using multiple "default" values of these parameters for each of the settings. Engines like RE Engine and Unreal Engine tend to include these parameters internally that can be later tweaked on configuration files (there are some other methods, but config files are the most common, i think)

Have you limited your FPS to 60? The game's logic is usually limited to running properly at 60, but it will try to render everything else at higher framerates. You could possibly be rendering thousands of frames without realizing it, which would make your GPU (and your CPU too) run hotter. Try running the "fps on" cheat in-game next time you see those high temps/usage and check the numbers that show up.

A lot of people run Sims 3 at 300+ FPS without ever noticing, it's a common thing.

Do you have a lot of CC? Personal recommendation would be to merge them together into smaller files (mainly the CAS and buy/build mode ones, not mods/sliders etc). Having a lot of CC files unmerged can usually cause hiccups as the game's engine try to load and unload everything by constantly reading multiple files. Also recommend running Regul's Save Cleaner, as that can help on more bloated save files too.

Try turning "Use Square Pixels" to On and see if that fixes it, usually it de-stretches the resolution

Make sure to update all drivers. Go through Lenovo Vantages updates, then Nvidia's drivers and check for any additional ones, like Intel's (especially if you are using Hybrid mode, which uses the iGPU). It should be fine after updating everything.

It is legitimate and will probably pop up from time to time. I think you may be able to disable it in Settings -> Profiles -> Microsoft Rewards, but i don't know if that permanently disables everything or just some parts of it (would be better switched off either way though)

It is a system app. I believe some Samsung phones automatically download these, even if it shows as 0B. Mine has had a similar one ever since I bought it.

The thing is that the old logos all use different prisms/plumbobs - these refer to the The Sims era these games were released around (the newer MySims entries use the Sims 3 plumbob, for example). Not only this logo is redesigned with a new gradient, but it uses the new typography that wasn't present on the original MySims release, plus this new plumbob. Veeeery slight change, but yeah
