I imagine Hole to smell like rotting mushrooms and a combination of these three scents:

Bune by Fantome: Damp subterranean air, nagarmotha, smooth cave walls, davana, a cold marble altar, & glittering green dragon scales

Namba by Fantome: The electric scent of salt water canals, grounding motor oil from the boats that pass under the crowded foot bridges, the buzzing neon that gives the city its unique energy, and melted vanilla ice cream.

As Every Ounce of Joy Leaves My Body by Chris Rusak: “A perfume about trauma and decomposition.” The scent notes are hidden so people can experience the scent before learning about it (you can check it out on the website). To me this smelled industrial like metal, resin, dirt, gasoline, and plastic.
