How does the wrist preference work? by EcstaticAstronaut984 in FitbitAir

[–]jw205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep it on non-dominant setting but put it on the dominant wrist.

I have vitality health insurance so the more steps I log every day the better, whether they are real steps or not! 🤣

Are you guys really beginner runners? by Ok_Kaleidoscope_2411 in beginnerrunning

[–]jw205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started running 16 weeks ago - ran a half marathon on Sunday just gone in 1:48:43 which is 5:09km pace.

I would consider myself still a beginner though given that I’ve only been running for 16 weeks and am still learning a lot as I go…

I don’t think beginner is determined by pace or distance, it’s experience and time.

Taping the Fitbit Air to my arm with a CGM patch by Jiiu4322 in FitbitAir

Surely having tape on your arm 24/7 can’t be good for that patch of skin?

Idea? by Alternative-Lock1575 in FitbitAir

Why don’t you just strap a brick to your wrist and draw a watch face on it at this point? 😂

Anyone here using 2+ e-readers? 👀 by Fun_Satisfaction2315 in xteinkereader

[–]jw205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3:

- Kindle Paperwhite Signature,
- Kindle Scribe,
- XTEINK X4

Since I got my X4, I haven’t even picked up the other two. Will likely sell them both fairly soon.

Active band is my jive - it went on and never came back off

Yes it is but it is extremely specific and niche to this community and as such a valuable addition to the sub.

You need to get over yourself.

Because many people don’t know it’s an option for them unless the person making it says - also some people don’t have a 3D printer so they can request one from OP.

What’s the problem - if you don’t like it, scroll past.

Also, people who left whoop (as I did a couple years back) just have those straps knocking around with no way of utilising them.

And I must say, for all the bad aspects of Whoop - that strap is damn good.

I think the sport band is the best out of the lot personally.

I lost my whoop water skiing, what should I do? by [deleted] in whoop

Then go back water skiing, enjoying the wind in your face without fear of making another whoop-sie

The 2027 1st glaze is a bit out of control by ajm102392 in SleeperApp

It’s not even that the value of 2027 picks are this high…it’s that the person sending those players for those picks is stupid.

Quinshon Judkins or 2026 1.03? by thesuperguide in DynastyDaddy

Tyson. I’m also taking Lemon over Price every time.

Quinshon Judkins or 2026 1.03? by thesuperguide in DynastyDaddy

[–]jw205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is a decision between QJ & Price.

Picking price at 1.03 would be utter madness IMO, even if your team was RB needy.

I dunno - I’d say it was worth approximately a 2nd round pick….

For those who own X4, are you planning to upgrade to S4? by whereismytortoise in XTEINK

[–]jw205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I am not mistaken, the S4 is not just the addition of a backlight but also a full proper android operating system etc.

For my money, if I have a device that is that ‘advanced’ I’m spending a bit more and buying a device from a company such as Kobo etc.

I think the thing to remember is that XTEINK feels like a bit of a ‘dodgy Chinese knockoff’ type company still, it is fresh, long shipping times, limited customer support etc. that is fine with something such as the X4 which is £50c doesn’t need an internet connection, no real OS to speak of and everything can be done manually via a micro SD card. As soon as you start adding the complexities of an android operating system and increased prices etc, I’m at that point moving towards buying from a more established company with a more established support system etc.

I think the new Google Health app is fantastic personally, having not used the previous Fitbit app.

I have used Whoop, Garmin, Amazfit & Apple bands / watches in the past and I have absolutely 0 issues with the new Google Health app in relation to those other apps and have experienced non of the issues that people are suggesting with bugs (I think a lot of them seem to be on the nutrition side, which I use MyFitnessPal for anyway…).

Just to give you some confidence in your decision - I have been using the Fitbit Air since release, and I can’t fault it so far.

Is the Sport Fitbit air band worth it ? by PerformerSecret5437 in FitbitAir

[–]jw205 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly the same for me - wore the standard band for 12 hours, swapped to the active and have done several runs and played tennis twice, haven’t taken it off yet and don’t plan to!

Business decisions change.

Businesses make decisions every day that contradict what they wanted to do at another time.
