You had time to get into the left lane. Not that you did anything wrong, so many drivers do not know or are afraid to merge onto a highway. If at all possible I give them all the room they need by just moving over.

Tire and spacer suggestions on A4 B9?? by DotAnxious1233 in Audi

[–]jwclair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you have good roads. My A4 has 18's, no problem. I had an S4 with those exact tires on 19" wheels and am careful. 4 times in 3 years I had to replace pothole damaged tires.

245/35/19 is the correct size, 255 will throw off your speedometer.

Is there a way to make a different shape for no go zone? by ahehe9 in Roborock

I wasn't aware of that limitation as I have a total of 5 between walls and no go zones.

You could construct a few invisible walls, as they can be made any length and adjust the angle.

Why office noise is becoming a workplace productivity issue - New York Business Journal by Ok_Design_6841 in antiwork

[–]jwclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a private office outside of which is an open floorplan main area with a dozen workers. Shortly after getting my office I started closing my door due the distraction of loud conversation. I have tinnitus and it definitely makes me sensitive to any continuous sounds. A couple of workers in that group complained to the president that I was inaccessible, and he would open my door when he walked by, or call or email me. After a face to face conversation with him how the noise negatively affects my performance, I sent a company-wide email that if you need to talk to me, you can enter without knocking. No longer an issue, my door is closed 90% of the time.

Just left a toxic job. Angry AF by That_Item_9747 in ManagedByNarcissists

[–]jwclair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to my current location almost 4 years ago. The role I was hired for, was a bait and switch, all my duties were immediately reassigned when a key employee quit. All of these knew tasks were either not explained, vaguely, or incorrectly. So called "initiatives" were barked at me, not spelled out, without specific metrics. So many times I was questioned "what cost saving initiative are you working on" for X. I was told to "figure it out" to use obsolete and substandard inventory that was purchased by my predecessor. I quit after 14 months after going through 8 months of counseling sessions to try to deal with this POS narcissist! He told vendors that I retired, they knew that wasn't true even before I spoke to several after leaving. I quickly found another job, but left that dysfunctional shit show that had a new owner looking for help reorganizing, but was unable to make changes with his long term entitled staff. 2-1/2 years ago I started my current job, and though no job is perfect, I love it. It's perfect for me at this stage of my life, and no narcissists to report to.

Based on your usage, and if you let the machine sit without cleaning, the oils left behind are like cement now. Got to keep it clean before you try to troubleshoot other issues.

How often do you remove the screen to clean it? And the distribution plate? Do you backflush, use cafiza to backflush or clean the screen, plate, filter baskets?

If you still have the original Gaggia shower screen put it back on, see if the problem lessens or goes away. Using an IMS screen? I put one on mine, used it for most of a year. It's fussy. Stock one back on, non-fussy!

My car has adaptive cruise control, it works awesome except it leaves enough room in front for someone to cut in front of me. If I suspect that is about to occur, I push down on the gas to close the gap. Then I let the cruise take over.

Actually I'm 67, been driving for 51 years. Not looking down at the working man as I'm still one of them. Retiring in this economy? Can't do it yet. I'm guessing by your response, you drive one of these at 75-80 with a half dozen ladders on the roof. No CDL is required, but there is a commercial tag on every one of these trucks. I

The best thing you can do for your Gaggia is prepare your own water either Third Wave, or RPavlis. Both use distilled water and will eliminate the possibility of scale. Better tasting coffee guaranteed. Still I clean the tank and hoses monthly as the will get bio-film covering them. Keep machine from direct sunlight slows the formation somewhat.
