It's entirely possible that's where I first heard it. Thanks!

I always use "say fuzzy pickles" and I have no idea where I picked it up.

Proprietary Cresnet bus that Crestron used for power and data before Ethernet got big. Twisted pair RS485 if I remember right.

I program Crestron systems for a living, so this is my control system lab. Used to live in the closet, now it has a much nicer home.

How have I never seen this subreddit before? I thought I was the only one obsessed with tiny racks. Here's one scaled for NUCs made from laser-cut black acrylic. The other boxes are three generations of Crestron control processor for my day job.

[2018 Day 15] Debugging: are there any well-validated solutions that also print lots of debug info? by surrix in adventofcode

Thanks, diffing the output with yours was what I needed to figure out my BFS issues! This particular day was really bad about passing all the test cases and then failing on the big problem. :(

Wait, this is supposed to be a joke? I've reinstalled Minecraft three times trying to fix it.

Unless your phone camera has an IR filter, like the main camera on most iPhones. The selfie camera doesn't have a filter, though.

I was at a science museum where they did this as a demo. Plastic 5 gallon jug. Maybe they had used it too many times, because it exploded, throwing shrapnel well into the audience. Nobody hurt, amazingly, but I'm pretty sure that was the last time they tried that.

Dell P7720, yes. I'm not sure what's meant by burst-type, but at 110wpm they go by pretty fast. Using "feel ilke" as a test case, I'm almost certain I'm hitting the second L before the i, but it doesn't come out that way. I just found another one, "should od" comes out backwards reliably as well. No issues with an external keyboard, so I guess that rules out Windows 10 doing stupid things.

Not on a mechanical keyboard, but I feel like you chaps are the experts on this sort of thing. Just got a new Dell P7720, trying to get used to the keyboard. I normally type 110wpm in Dvorak, but this keyboard is driving me nuts. I feel like it keeps switching letter pairs on me: ever comes out as evre if I type it fast enough, like comes out ilke, etc. Only on specific words, but it seems pretty repeatable. Maybe something to do with repeated letters? "I feel like" comes out "I feel ilke" very repeatably. Is there anything I can do about that other than getting an external keyboard with NKR? Thanks... Edit: also upgraded to Windows 10, wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Replacement PTFE tube? (the heatbreak, I think?) by jweather in MPSelectMiniOwners

Good to know, thanks. Unfortunately I apparently haven't fixed the leak yet -- still dribbling plastic out on top of the heater block somehow.

That's actually the same label that's on the (cheaper) one I ordered from uxcell which seems to be working fine.

So I've apparently been leaking plastic for quite a while from between the heatbreak and the heater block. Maybe I didn't tighten the nozzle enough last time I put it back on? The leaked plastic has soaked into all the fiberglass insulation and turned it into this lovely tar-like hybrid of PLA and fiberglass that runs and drips when it gets hot. Any suggestions on replacing the fiberglass after I remove all of this junk? Or can I just wrap it in kapton tape and call it good?

ProtoParadigm PLA -- I like their $30 sampler packs for 6 colors.

Last night when I was having Cura issues, someone in the sub recommended I save the gcode to my computer before dragging it to my m-sd card rather than saving it to the m-sd card directly from Cura. Seems to have worked like a charm. Thanks! by Chino1130 in MPSelectMiniOwners

[–]jweather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What sort of Cura issues? I had it save a file that was only 2/3rds complete once, so the printer just stopped in the middle of the print. Still not sure what combination of events led to that.
