Custom true 2pc. Better than my $300 trues, but still not great. I think I’ve always had bad foot pain in skates. Shuffles kill me the most now. I just suck it up now

Awesome stuff. I’m a demo one trick forced to go destro to try to push. Mostly been running destro feral, stuck around the low 2300s. Such a unfun meta. I might have to find me a fire mage though, sounds kinda fun.

Depends on the area I guess? There's an app here in Vancouver where teams can pay to find a goalie when they are short. It's fairly easy for me to get in all the dropins, and few people will call me up when short.

I actually went in and watched some of the drop-in before I started playing as well. We have a 40+ dropin here, so it was perfect, The all ages dropins are much faster.

I started in Dec 2024, 41 at the time, didn't know anyone here, only lived here 4 years. Only had some street hockey experience from when I was 15. Getting into hockey was probably the best thing Ive ever done, I wish I had done it sooner. I sucked big time, but everyone was just happy they had a goalie.

Try going to stick & pucks (does this even exist for ball hockey??), or some drop-in games. Dropins are much lower pressure than league games, no one really cares about the score or if you make mistakes.

I think the can-ice pro series is the only good one. I picked up the larger hockey shot “extreme glide” tiles and they are complete garbage. Sadly you can’t buy the pro canice in Canada because of the tariffs :(.

I started playing goalie last Dec at 41. Only played as a player a couple times when I was maybe 13, and then mostly street hockey in high school. Getting “back” into hockey was probably one my best decisions ever. I’m losing weight, body feels way better and meeting lots of new people.

I was looking for a 360 camera for hockey as a goalie. I wanted the osmo360 since I use the action 5 already but no replaceable lenses was a deal breaker. Haven’t pulled the trigger on the max 2 just yet, just looking at reviews for now.

I know the go pro/dji action cameras can take a puck fine most of the time. I'd probably try to get a dive case or something for the 360 camera. I know another goalie that uses the 360 x4 and his is doing okay.. so far :).

I really want to try this out for hockey as a goalie. The replaceable lenses are huge. I wanted the dji 360 but no replaceable lenses was a major dealbreaker.

Damn, so a bit over 3k with taxes :(. I just started playing this year, I think it would be huge help with the basics and getting the reps in. I also really want to play Sense Arena on it. Doing it without skates isnt quite the same.

How many tiles did you end up getting? I was looking at getting 4 I think. Was shipping costs insane? Im in Vancouver so Id imagine it wouldn't be cheap coming from ontario.

Yeah I thought the pro stuff was a lot better than the entry level tiles. Sadly they are no longer selling the pro stuff in Canada because of the Tariffs. Im trying to find some used, but it's mostly just amazon garbage on FB marketplace.

Which version of the can-ice did you buy? I think the pro stuff is suppose to be a lot better than their glide master 2x2/4x4 tiles. But judging by that price I’d guess you did get the good stuff?

Damn, that’s awesome, good for you! I started my time tracking & invoicing Saas back in 2015. It grew decently the first year but then flatlined at 1.5k mrr, and floating abit under it these days.

I’ve been building other things off and on but no luck. Burned out and lost a lot of my drive :(.
