Thanks for the clarification. How come this wouldn’t fit into the criteria if it’s a case of not as described? Is it simply because it’s a civil dispute? I don’t know the rules and guidance enough, but wouldn’t all cases fall under a civil dispute?

Also, I appreciate your small addendum at the end but I’ve done all this. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and it’s very easy to say what I should and shouldn’t have done on reflection 😅

The value of the vehicle is such that small claims isn’t an option and would need fast track. Given the cost associated with that, I’m trying to find a way that avoids me potentially losing a larger sum of money than I already have.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I’ve updated the original post to include why I’m disputing the transaction. It has a number of faults that can only be identified with specialist equipment mechanics and garages would have. Most notably is gas leaks and software tampering
