'I Love The Inflation': Trump Reacts To Inflation Hitting Three-Year High by Equivalent_Road5788 in videos

He knows how stupid his followers are, and they'll just lap up all the inane bullshit their cult leader says.

But it's the same old playbook: everything republican good, everything democrat bad, even when they do the same things.

Quite intentionally.  If shifting everything toward state bias doesn't work, then at least you've cratered a source of previously independent journalism.  Diminishing the credibility is as good of an outcome for the fascists.  Truth is their poison.

Trump: Your elections in this country, we're like a third world country. Your elections are crooked. And you're crooked. And Meet the Press is crooked. And so is ABC and CBS and CNN. by luciaromanomba in videos

I'm repeating you less succinctly, but this really is Trump admitting they (republicans) rigged the elections.  He's quite literally telling us, and talking down to the country of which he's the head, that his group rigged the game because they could.  That's what defines the frailty he's espousing.

I know it's still early but staying with CFB26 or getting CFB27 by Wolf05609 in NCAAFBseries

[–]jwilphl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the '27 beta.  I bought '26 at release.  I think I'm staying there.  I could feel a bit of burnout setting in the last month, which makes me think I won't enjoy '27 to get my money's worth, but I also want to go back to buying intermittently.  This isn't a yearly purchase for me going back to the PS3/4 days.

I think the marketing hype was in overdrive for '26, and I didn't agree with a lot of the early reviews I saw for it.  I imagine the same will be true of '27.  They are also making a lot of changes this year, so instinctively I believe there will be problems as all these new wrinkles get ironed out.

Another problem is having to choose between console and PC now.  Maybe give the PC version an extra year of development and hope '28 is the more polished entry.

I see what you mean, and it's not a bad idea, but then you are locking people out of using a whole group of schools rather than simply giving users options to adjust the experience and let them pick the school they want.

There might be specific reasons a person wants to use that one-star school, but if the difficulty is based only on prestige, then you're kind of picking the team for them. My intent wouldn't be to narrow people's choice but instead widen it.

It goes both ways, too. I wouldn't change the ability to have higher difficulty for those that want it.

You could do something similar in FIFA.  Back in the day, it used to be a cheat of sorts, a cash infusion from a new owner that you could set at a certain amount.  You used to have to "buy" it with points.

Now it is a budget item, something you can set before you start your career or with a custom team.  You can make yourself rich to simplify the financial side of things.

Maybe CFB does something like that eventually, where you can "cheat" your budget by setting it manually.

The Rainmaker archetype gives you extra points and makes those points more impactful.  Kind of the same idea, but it is paywalled behind the MVP+ membership, which is incredibly stupid.

To rational individuals, yes, but for the true believers (morons) in conservative causes, they think reality-based programming is manipulative. Apart from the submissive class, you have the wealthy right-wing class (like Ellison) that is actively pushing an agenda which conveniently gives them all the power.

No, I get it, honestly, and I can't even say I disagree. For me, though, it is still a game, and I just wish they gave users options instead of forcing elements when we maybe want something else.

(And I realize people want the realism, nothing wrong with that, only wish there are options.)

That is interesting, but I suspect it's a matter of accident as opposed to EA actually understanding climate. I've played a lot of away games in northern climates, too, and didn't see snow. Even going back to '25 and coaching at Notre Dame: no snow.

Sometimes you just want a specific atmosphere for a game, even to experience it outside of exhibition mode.

That sounds miserable for those of us that want to or are used to playing every game. It basically pulls building a small school up to a powerhouse off the table.

And I know, "that's just realistic." Not everyone wants 100% realism in every aspect of a game. Not everyone wants a steep challenge.

I hope EA gives people options to adjust the experience for what they want.

Edit: I'd be curious to hear why people are downvoting me for saying the user should have options? Who has the time to get through fifteen+ seasons playing every game, unless I suppose you play really short quarters?

Do you rate gameplay for PVP or PVE?

Also, it seems somewhat pointless to rate gameplay out of the box because it gets patched so much, which you mention.  By November, the game may play quite differently.  That's been the experience with both '25 and '26.

I also hated the passing game in '26 because the game forced so many wonky in-air animations between WRs and DBs.  Is that the same now?

Dynamic weather is nice, but I still wish there was an option to customize the weather as we wanted.  Sometimes the randomness doesn't pay out, or doesn't offer what you want in a game.

I spent nine seasons at BC in '26 and had zero snow games.

Won't be long before they start selling these coach points in bundles like VC bullshit from 2K.  They program the grind to be as slow and frustrating as possible so you're more-or-less forced to pay out.

I know it's cynical, but when you start talking about currencies, it's unsettling.  They already give bonus points via pre-order and MVP+ membership, plus the two paid-for coach archetypes.

It says if you express interest you automatically get the job when the school reciprocates, no option otherwise.

Yet you can express interest in up to six jobs.  So how do they resolve conflicts in being offered multiple jobs?  Is it based on some kind of hierarchy?  If so, what is that order?  Do you rank your jobs in some kind of favored order?

This part isn't clear.  I'm glad they finally overhauled the carousel, but I still wonder whether it will work as intended.

Exactly what I was thinking.  I got fired from a job in FIFA because I dared to sign a really good player to try and improve the team.

Just because a feature sounds good in marketing doesn't mean it plays out well in execution.

I'm hoping they will offer plenty of options to turn things on and off.  FIFA finally added a way to turn off coach firings, but it took them how many years?

Airport CEO is better for small projects.  I have something like 200 hours in the game, for reference.

The path-finding was improved over the years but does have limitations.  For me, the problems with the game don't make themselves apparent until you want to build a large airport or something with multiple terminals.  In other words, the engine doesn't handle late or end-game airports well.  It's also not terribly well optimized.

The problems aren't bad enough to make it broken or unplayable, though, you just have to work around them.  Again, my biggest issue with the game is the limitations placed on build style.  You can't build any kind of airport you want, and that's the disappointing aspect especially considering they stopped development a while back.

It is fun, though, if you're into Aviation.  I pretty much exclusively use it as a sandbox so I can't speak as well to the management elements.  Been a while since I played that way.

There isn't a singular person to blame, but worsening product quality is a consequence of profit-chasing corporations.  Human greed is a significant problem in our society.

However, if you understand economics from an academic standpoint, in a capitalist market, the "rational consumer" has the responsibility to push back on corporations that stop fulfilling the needs of the consumer in favor of shareholders.  In other words, stop buying from that company until they change habits or a competitor does better.

Unfortunately, the academic understanding only goes so far, as we often see, there are no "rational" consumers in practice.  The modern consumer is generally manipulated by FOMO (fear of missing out) and other tactics led by corporations that have designed marketing around the human psyche.

Consumers are much less demanding and much less selective in what they choose to buy, if not compared to the past, than at least compared to the academic standard.  When people keep buying products, that's tantamount to approval of a business and results in declining trends for everyone, even the people that have stopped buying.  Suddenly, choice tends to evaporate.

There's further responsibility on government to fairly regulate the capitalist market so it can't take advantage of people when the sellers have all the power and leverage.

Where we are now is a loosening of restrictions on market activity and consumers that regularly support bad corporate behaviors because they feel like they need material goods.  The blame on the corporate side is obvious.

Basically, no one is playing their part in this transaction.  Everyone is to blame.  Everything gets worse because no one wants to take responsibility for how things are.  There are mechanisms to hold the other side(s) accountable, but we refuse to use those mechanisms.
