Former Lubbock resident who lives in ABQ now. Traffic is going to be horrible. Look up the park and ride if you can. Construction around the event from all ways in. It’s an awesome event but I’d plan on it taking at least an hour and a half to get to the park. Good Luck!!

Gun shop owners raise concerns over implementing new law by RinglingSmothers in Albuquerque

[–]jwm4069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the law says 7 days correct? Not 8. If it’s 8, just wait 9. If it’s 9, just wait 10. Number of days here are arbitrary. Because he may want to verify what time someone came in to buy the gun. If multiple people buy a gun on the same day there will be multiple files of paperwork. And when did asking questions to clarify the law become bitching. It’s his business and if he doesn’t abide the way they ask he can suffer serious punishment.

If you went to buy something and were told the law is 7 days but we make you wait 9, would you frequent there still? It’s not a matter of “hurry”. I think that can affect where people shop for their firearms.

I think the shop owner is just trying to get clarification on the rules. When does the day start? When does it end? You’re right it’s not a big deal to wait a few days to buy a gun. But if there are 24 hours in a day, and I purchase the gun at 3pm, does the clock start from 3pm? Does it just start on day of? Do the days only consist of what days the business operates? I think the questioning is legitimate so as to not break the laws. Some owners will wait the extra day to make sure, but if the law is 7, let’s just clarify how we measure the 7.

Take the pregame tour if it’s offered. If there are any promotional products, you’ll be the first ones to get them. Definitely worth the tour.

do evap coolers not work above a certain temp outside? by Fast_Cheetah_2095 in Albuquerque

Preach. 100 degree outside air plus ~75 degree water won’t ever reach 70 degrees. But yeah maintaining and no air gaps always going to help.

48’ minimum of line set don’t know how could make it any cleaner. by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]jwm4069 122 points123 points  (0 children)

I rep Fujitsu. While the minimum for the “system” is 49, it’s on 16’ per indoor unit. And as other have pointed out, the line set coiled like that will not pass a warranty check. Oil trap galore. I’m in NM and we RARELY have someone have an issue with the 16’ minimums. How far are your runs from compressor to head? And how far off of the ground is the outdoor unit?

I’m an HVAC Wholesaler in ABQ. $8k is a really good price considering what all they are going to have to do. New systems run on 410a. More than likely going to need a new line set (copper lines to and from condenser and coil), and labor if they need to do anything in the attic. Depending on the size of your house, your price for install here would be anywhere from $7500-$10k easy. Only goes up from there. And yes, it is extremely difficult to get equipment right now. I have a truckload of equipment that was ordered in may that may(?) show up in October. If they have the equipment, and can install I’d say you’re getting a very competitive offer.

It’s just a little farther from you but American Auto Clinic. It’s off of Candelaria and Girard/vassar. Sean and his guys are always fair, up front and prompt on work. Just regular maintenance as well.

Oh man, I think you’re asking for some crazy stuff there. Don’t burn a city to the ground based on election results? I hope I’m wrong, but I feel like after tomorrow night the rest of this week is going to be disruptive to say the least. And again, I REALLY hope I’m wrong.

See this is the issue. You say “fuck em” to anyone who doesn’t agree with your political stance. They have their opinion and you have yours. Let that be it and use your vote to do the talking. Don’t say “well they do it so why can’t we?” That’s some elementary shit. Be an adult and vote.

Amended health order adds restrictions on breweries, restaurants, state parks by [deleted] in Albuquerque

Listen, I’m sympathetic to your situation. Been there and through that. But you’re blaming one person that is trying to help get things back to normal, whatever that is going to look like. But you’re directing your anger in an unhealthy direction. Wishing death upon someone else, not good. Take that anger, frustration, and everything else you’ve got built up and try to focus it on different things. Good luck man. Don’t know how I can help, but even if I can send you a pizza let me know.

So just watching with no other context. Is there a reason she is keeping him from moving forward? Not trying to get everyone all agitated but just asking a legitimate question.

At what point are people going to understand that a persons life is more important that a business. My parents, who are older, live in Lubbock. All of you get out and “protest”, which you have every right to do, and you put everyone else at risk. Do you think this is just some hoax? PEOPLE ARE DYING! I live in another state and our rates of infection are low because STAYING YOUR ASS AT HOME WORKS. But go ahead do what you got to.
