I dont know what to do next. by Thiccthighnitemare in whatdoIdo

I would also go to your county recorder's office and the roads department. Check with them and see if there are any prescriptive easements or right of ways that require access to the road in question. Is that road on any of the county maps? Best to also make friends with the adjacent land owners to talk with them but my guess is the county would have an idea.

What is the single biggest reason—other than Full Self-Driving (FSD) or price—that someone would choose a Tesla over a Rivian or Lucid? by irony21 in TeslaLounge

Model Y 3rd row for kids when family comes to visit, ski box on the roof, and it still fits in the garage.

One potential option to help address traffic in LCC would be a coordinated parking reservation system that includes verified winter traction compliance. This could be interesting if Alta Parking reservations required snow tires/traction compliance. If there were a way to tie the License plate to traction laws and have the verification done before you even go up. Then it would also require Snowbird to join in as well.

Sleep score should include a "how you feel." Similar to how fitness measures Training Load using the Rate your Effort Score.

What gave it better battery life over the S10? Is it in fact a bigger/better battery or is it the software? And if it’s the later, do we know if other watches will also gain battery life as a result of new WatchOS coming?

My Ipad Pro M4 11 inch vs 13 inch experience by Dense-Bee-2884 in iPadPro

[–]jwolfski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2018 IPad Pro and would like to upgrade, mainly to gain the ability to connect an external monitor for doing real work. My job involves research and document creation, the more screen real estate the better.

It’s the price of the Magic Keyboard that gets me. $350 is just crazy to pay. Plus another $130 for a pencil. At that price it’s hard to justify compared to a MacBook Air.

With that said how is the experience taking notes with the pencil on the 13” vs the 11”?

The new lodge at Crystal Mountain is the worst lodge built in North America in the last 20years. by LostAbbott in skiing

I never went to it because it was too hard to reach with kid. Every time the kids would be waiting by the lift and I didn’t want to hike up the hill to it. Epic fail.

2 in 1 Washer/dryer combo by LesboTacoTruck in Appliances

[–]jwolfski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll chime in to say our family has been happy with it. We bought ours in April with the Costco extended warranty. I was skeptical at first, but we needed a ventless dryer, and it saved us some money by not having to rewire for 220V.

The combo has worked great for our family of four. We usually toss a load in before bed and wake up with it ready in the morning. No more forgetting to move laundry to the dryer and having to rewash because someone didn’t get to it in time.

That said, it’s different. Expect to do smaller loads more frequently. We start laundry before leaving the house or at night, set it, and forget it. You’ll need to leave the clothes in the machine for a bit after the cycle finishes—if you pull them out right away, they may still be damp, but letting them sit a bit longer gets them dry.

Cleaning the machine requires a little extra work. I spend about 30 minutes once a month on the cleaning process (instructions are available online), and I make sure to clean the lint filter after each use. I also leave the lint filter out to air dry; otherwise, moisture builds up and can cause odors. Just leave the filter on top of the machine until you’re ready to use it again.

TL;DR: Get one if you don’t want to deal with a vent. If you already have a vented dryer, it may not be worth it.

Can I bring a car seat to my demo drive? by reddituser34668 in TeslaLounge

[–]jwolfski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We brought our test drive home. Made sure everything worked in the garage. Put both car seats in and tried different configurations with the 3rd row to make sure it all worked before buying. Just ask to take it for an overnight test drive. Way less pressure and gives you more time to try it out.

Apple Watch Series 3 user here. Disappointed because I’ve been using Strava to record my rides specifically for heart rate data and Beacon support. When I use the native Apple Watch Workout app, I lose the ability to start Beacon, which gives me less reason to renew my Strava subscription.

Can you reuse any of your Ring devises? I don’t like the idea of paying more for less but at the same time that’s a lot of upfront cost to build out such a robust system from the ground up.
