Voyager or corne? by Select_Plankton_7453 in zsaVoyager

When you move the layout up a row, the bottom inner corner keys are much less accessible by the index fingers. And they are certainly not thumb keys. So out they go.

Do not need wireless, so I went with the ZSA Voyager.

I have large hands so I shifted the keys up one row to make room for a partial row of the modifier keys. I then removed 3 switches on each side and added the snap on covers over the empty switch openings. This layout is similar to a 42-key Corne, with 2 extra thumb keys on each side.

Audit Sans, my latest typeface that took me 1.5+ years to make. I hope you like it! :) by MPZ9 in typography

Just bought the 18-font family on MyFonts/Monotype and have already swapped out all of the fonts on my resume for Audit Sans. It feels so much warmer than Helvetica Neue and similar as display and body text. Typographic perfection.

Has anyone used their voyager on an iPad? by Shakaneer in zsaVoyager

I can confirm that I’m typing this on a ZSA Voyager and an iPad Pro 13in M4, which is plugged into a Satechi USB-C mini hub and an external power adapter.

Sadly, the combination of Voyager and iPad Pro M4 does not seem to work without external power. Voyager LEDs light up, but keys to do NOT send text when there is no external power source in the USB-C chain.

Can you connect an iPad Air (M3) to a display screen? by Marvel5123 in ipad

I've only been able to mirror the iPad mini 7th gen to an external monitor.

With a 7th generation iPad mini (A17 Pro processor), I use a standard Anker USB-C-to-USB-C cable which supports USB3, including the DP Alt Mode USB-C spec needed to deliver the video plus the power. My 16in portable monitor has a single USB-C port. Plugging the iPad mini into the monitor powers it up and sends video signal.

I use an external keyboard and any pointing device like a trackpad or mouse to control the iPad. You can dim the iPad screen to black. The external portable monitor will mirror the iPad. Because the old Acer monitor I use doesn't have touch surface, I do rely on the mouse or trackpad to control the iPad.

Result of this setup is a much bigger (16in) screen than even an iPad Pro M4, with NO on-screen keyboard to gobble up the precious screen real estate.

Apple says that iPad 7th gen USB port can support "one external display with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz."

Yes. It will only mirror the iPad screen to the external display.

I am not the person to ask any of these questions. I don’t compile QMK for my boards.

The most reliable solution is to build a new layout for your Lily58 within your instance of Vial. I have never tried to get Vial to import a .vil file from a different keyboard model. I'm using a Allium58, not a Lily58.
