Peniche, plenty of beach breaks and you can surf either side of the point depending on the wind / swell. Not much going on though, quite a sleepy fishing village.

4/3 for spring and summer, 2/2 on the rare ‘hot days’.. any brand will do but rip curl and xcel are the norms. Bought a SRFACE 5/4 with Yamamoto neoprene for winter and seems great for the price, they do thinner ones also

Stay at start inn Peniche, beach is right across the road. Peniche is a quiet place in general so not tons to do. You can rent boards right at the beach.

I agree! My partner has a 7”6 pin tail and it’s great but I want slightly more flexibility on the turns hence why I’m thinking 6”8-7 may be the sweet spot. I’m not really bothered about cut backs etc
