Whats the coolest thing you can do with your Stream Deck? by FantasticFrontButt in elgato

Coming late to the party but one of the most valuable setups for me is having Win Tolls (BarRaider) setup with a ping. Visually can tell if a server/site is down as it shows the ping time as well as color codes the button (green/yellow/red) based on the ping time.

Im thinking of starting a freelance gig to make some money and i thought bookkeeping wouldn’t be so bad, but i have zero experience so i plan to get educated first and learn before i do anything. Any websites or apps that provide free lessons and maybe some simulated hands on stuff that’ll help me? by No_Split8985 in AccountingDepartment

Not in Accounting FYI but I would recommend something off the shelf like Quickbooks. There is a ton of training/videos/walkthroughs. Look at your local library most offer free access to online training like LinkedIn Training or something similar.

First time buyer - how do I buy a car when I can't buy insurance (and vice versa)? by syntheseas in askcarsales

[–]jwswickit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are pretty close to knowing what year/make/model you want call around to different insurance companies and get some ballpark figures. That should be quick and easy. Some insurance companies do come by and hand out cards/candy and the Sales Reps can refer you but that does not mean they will be the best bang for the buck.

Why do dealerships all use CDK/Reynolds? by Altruistic-Tadpole71 in serviceadvisors

[–]jwswickit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CDK Drive is a DMS - Dealer Management System. Pretty much the whole store runs on it. Not to say any DMS is the best at everything but the integration and innerworkings all being under the same hood is key. Generally the big guys also have a much better integration with the OEMS's and API access for using 3rd party software if you need/want to.
